    The Bet

A young man at this construction site was bragging that he could outdo anyone based on his strength. He especially made fun of one of the older workman. After several minutes, the older worker had enough.

"Why don't you put your money where you mouth is?" he said. "I'll bet a week's wages that I can haul something in a wheelbarrow over to the other building that you won't be able to wheel back."

"You're on, old man," the young man replied. "Let's see what you've got."

The old man reached out and grabbed the wheelbarrow by the handles. Then nodding to the young man, he said with a smile, "All right. Get in."

    Hairy Chest

The ambitious coach of a girls track team gives the squad steroids. The team's performance soars. They win the county and state championships until one day they are favored to win nationals easily.

Penelope, a 16-year-old hurdler visits her coach and says, "Coach, I have a problem. Hair is starting to grow on my chest."

"What!" the coach says in a panic, "How far down does it go?"

She replies, "Down to my testicles. That's something else I want to talk to you about."

For those who have children past this age, this is hilarious.
For those who have children this age, this isnot funny.
For those who have children nearing this age, this is a warning.
For those who have not yet had children, this is birth control.
The following came from an anonymous Mother in Austin, Texas:
Things I've learned from my Boys:
1.) A king size waterbed holds enough water to
fill a 2000 sq. ft. house 4 inches deep.
2.) If you spray hair spray on dust bunnies and
run over them with roller blades, they can ignite.
    3.) A 3-year old Boy's voice is louder than 200
    adults in a crowded restaurant.
4.) If you hook a dog leash over a ceiling fan,
    the motor is not strong
enough to rotate a 42 pound Boy wearing Batman
    underwear and a Superman cape.
It is strong enough, however, if tied to a paint
can, to spread paint on all four walls of a 20x20 ft. room.
5.) You should not throw baseballs up when the
    ceiling fan is on.
When using a ceiling fan as a bat, you have to
throw the ball up a few
times before you get a hit. A ceiling fan can hit
    a baseball a long way.
6.) The glass in windows (even double-pane)
doesn't stop a baseball hit by a ceiling fan.
7.) When you hear the toilet flush and the words
    "uh oh", it's alreadytoo late.
8.) Brake fluid mixed with Clorox makes smoke,
    and lots of it.
    9.) A six-year old Boy can start a fire with a
    flintrock even though a
36-year old Man says they can only do it in the movies.
10.) Certain Lego's will pass through the digestive
tract of a 4-year old Boy.
11.) Play dough and microwave should not be used
    in the same sentence.
    12.) Super glue is forever.
13.) No matter how much Jell-O you put in a
swimming pool you still can't walk on water.
14.) Pool filters do not like Jell-O.
15.) VCR's do not eject "PB & J" sandwiches even
though TV commercials show they do.
16.) Garbage bags do not make good parachutes.
17.) Marbles in gas tanks make lots of noise when
    driving.
18.) You probably DO NOT want to know what that
    odor is.
19.) Always look in the oven before you turn it
    on;
    plastic toys do not
    like ovens.
20.) The fire department in Austin, TX has a
    5-minute response time.
21.) The spin cycle on the washing machine does
    not
    make earthworms dizzy.
22.) It will, however, make cats dizzy.
23.) Cats throw up twice their body weight when
    dizzy.
24.) 80% of Women will pass this on to almost all
    of
    their
    friends, with or without kids.
25.) 80% of Men who read this will try mixing the
    Clorox and brake
    fluid.

    George Carlin's Views on Aging

Do you realize that the only time in our lives when we like to get old is when we're kids? If you're less than 10 years old, you're so excited about aging that you think in fractions.

"How old are you?" "I'm four and a half!" You're never thirty-six and a half. You're four and a half, going on five! That's the key.

You get into your teens, now they can't hold you back. You jump to the next number, or even a few ahead.

"How old are you?" "I'm gonna be ! 16!" You could be 13, but hey, you're gonna be 16! And then the greatest day of your life . . .. you become 21. Even the words sound like a ceremony . . YOU BECOME 21. YESSSS!!!

But then you turn 30. Oooohh, what happened there? Makes you sound like bad milk! He TURNED; we had to throw him out. There's no fun now, you're Just a sour-dumpling. What's wrong? What's changed?

You BECOME 21, you TURN 30, then you're PUSHING 40. Whoa! Put on the brakes, it's all slipping away. Before you know it, you REACH 50 and your dreams are gone.

But wait!!! You MAKE it to 60. You didn't think you would!

So you BECOME 21, TURN 30, PUSH 40, REACH 50 and MAKE it to 60.

You've built up so much speed that you HIT 70! After that it's a day-by-day thing; you HIT Wednesday!

You get into your 80s and every day is a complete cycle; you HIT lunch; you TURN 4:30; you REACH bedtime. And it doesn't end there. Into the 90s, you start going backwards; "I Was JUST 92."

Then a strange thing happens. If you make it over 100, you become a little kid again. "I'm 100 and a half!"

May you all make it to a healthy 100 and a half!!

    That Pronunciation Thing

Dick Cheney and George W. Bush were having breakfast at the White House.

The attractive waitress asks Cheney what he would like, and he replies, "I'd like a bowl of oatmeal and fruit."

And what can I get for you, Mr. President?

George W replies with his trademark wink and slight grin, "How about a quickie this morning?"

Why, Mr. President! The waitress exclaims. How rude! You're starting to act like Mr. Clinton, and you've only been in your second term of office for a year!

As the waitress storms away, Cheney leans over to Bush and whispers, "I'm sorry, Mr President - It's pronounced 'quiche!'"

    Ed

Ed was in BIG trouble. He forgot his wedding anniversary.

"Tomorrow," his wife angrily told him, "there had better be something in our driveway that goes from 0 to 200 in two seconds flat!"

The next morning she looked outside and saw a small package in the driveway. She brought it inside, opened it.....and found a brand new bathroom scale.

(Funeral services for Ed have been scheduled for Friday...)

It's On the Tip of My Tongue

Two elderly couples were enjoying friendly conversation when one of the men asked the other, "Fred, how was the memory clinic you went to last month?"

"Outstanding," Fred replied. "They taught us all the latest psychological techniques: visualization, association, etc. It was great."

"That's great! And what was the name of the clinic?"

Fred went blank. He thought and thought, but couldn't remember. Then a smile broke across his face and he asked, "What do you call that flower with the long stem and thorns?"

    "You mean a rose?"

    "Yes, that's it!"

He turned to his wife, "Rose, what was the name of that memory clinic?"

You got to love those kids!

A couple, desperate to conceive a child, went to their priest and asked him to pray for them. "I'm going on a sabbatical to Rome," he replied, "and while I'm there, I'll light a candle for you."

When the priest returned three years later, he went to the couple's house and found the wife pregnant, busily attending to three sets of twins. Elated, the priest asked her where her husband was so that he could congratulate him.

"He's gone to Rome, to blow that &&^^%%$$ candle out" came the harried reply.
