In the coming New Year, 2012, both Groundhog Day and the State of the Union address will occur on the same day. This is an ironic juxtaposition of events. One involves a meaningless ritual in which we look to an insignificant creature of little intelligence for prognostication. The other involves a groundhog.
Not sure how to read this about your trading, pretty cool storms. So, I guess you were stuck in a violent storm with no way out for much of 2011, LOL. Don
Don, I'm mainly a swing trader, and this past year was a news driven market for the most part. Every time someone said the wrong thing or another few billion were needed to bail out another European country the market went 180 degrees the wrong direction no matter what the charts said... You see the connection.
Indubitably he's asking us to chip in and buy him some swimmies and nose plugs for Christmas.... sheesh I waited all year to use that word. indubitably .... Without doubt; 100% sure. Ok, this is the best word in the english language. Just say it and it gets plastered into the back of your brain and you're hooked on this one word. Saying it over, and over, and over, and over. I love it.
I hate having to stop having sex half way through. Like when the doorbell rings,or when the saucepan boils over or when you run out of money.,
"It's a small world afterall...It's a small world afterall....IT'S a SMALL World afterall, it's a small, small, world" indubitably... is that what you mean Mr. Nutmeg? (Now I've done it, damnit, LOL). Don
You know I have another thought. Maybe Obama has finally got to him with the "captain of the ship" and the "weather". Who knows? Re Obama ..... way back, I read when investor relations (pick your "C" for conference call) start blaming the weather....get the nose plugs.
Gotcha... (to be serious for a minute).. you may want to read "Throw them all Out" - we shared that book at our last Retreat a couple of weeks ago. Explains, in graphic, horrid detail about how "price precedes news" - sort of "partisan" but both sides are to blame for this. As traders, we've always known about this axiom, but this explains one of the worst reasons why (check Feb issue of TASC as well). Anyway, this is the jokes thread... I hope you have a much better 2012 my friend. Don
