Yes, capitalism is the WORST system in the world, except for all the others Same can be said for GWB among presidents and other politicians across the globe. And if you think that American international policies will change with O and H, think again. Where do YOU live? Russia? China? Canada? Mexico? Europe? ... OMG!
Gees, Humpy, as of this writing I do not know personally anyone whose personal life situation has deteriorated within the last 8 years. My kids have jobs, their husband/boyfriend and their friends are all working or going to college. My neighbors are status quo, the casual people I run into during the course of the week, are still doing what they always have been doing. Everyone pensions took a hit, that could happen whoever is president but people are resourceful they adapt. Outside of that and the hassle of dealing with security issues ie traveling, seeing police presence around more, life with Bush has been unnoticeable and uneventfull (no terrorist attacks).
From Charles Barkley, a perfectly justifiable excuse for a traffic violation and subsequent DUI: "Barkley's black Infiniti SUV was pulled over by police in the early morning hours of New Year's Eve after he slowed for a stop sign in Scottsdale, Ariz., but then accelerated through it. An officer said he detected the smell of alcohol, but Barkley refused to submit to a blood test upon what he said was the previous advice of his bodyguard, whom he said was a former police officer. The officer who detained Barkley described his eyes as "bloodshot and watery." When Barkley did not pass a field sobriety test, he was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving. Barkley later submitted to a blood test at the police station. He was described as "cordial and respectful" during the entire arrest process, according to the police report. The former U.S. Olympic "Dream Team" member told police that he failed to stop because he was in a hurry to pick up a young woman on the street so she could perform oral sex, as he said she had done to him a week earlier."
