Discretionary swing trading of index futures without an automated approach is the toughest way to trade. Been there done that just like you...and also with NQ futures. I would have some great days and then lose a week of profits in one day. One problem was revenge trading....man, that can kill you. I would be up huge for the day and then go back to zero. At that point I should have stopped trading, but no, I got mad and continued to trade under choppy conditions. I call it "pin ball" price action. No trends...just up and down PA....causing me to buy the highs and sell the lows. My win rate was about 30%......just pathetic. You can't be profitable at that rate. Best approach is scalping the E-Minis using an automated or semi-automated approach. Time in trade should be under 2 minutes or so. Get in, take small profits, then get out.
I stopped that channel a while. That was when i only traded manually and traded nq. Right now I use algo to scalp multiple markets. a lot easier to manage emotionally when you only see results afterwards
