Most pilots (like firemen, I did not know this until recently) have entire careers without such scenarios occurring.

 

Anyone flying a multi million dollar aircraft encounters such a "scenario" every take off and landing.

 

I would note... it shows you how out of touch congress and our elected officials are?

If you do not realize that America's top tech companies manufacture a lot of their products overseas... you should not be able to vote on the floor of Congress.

From now on...

we should have term limits..

we should have quarterly current events and issues tests... with questions submitted by the representatives constituents and their answers posted online right next to their voting record.

 

Why again should we have term limits for pols?

Perhaps term limits for voters who vote in morons like Bush and his ilk.

Term limits are a complete abdication of responsibility by the voters.

It is always the voters responsibility to pick the leaders. If anything, we have a lot of bad pickers out there...

In this tale of role-reversal, Elmer Fudd (the president of an unnamed company) somehow believes he's a rabbit running scared from hunters' gunfire. Can't we vote in pols who will fix the problem of a rigged system?

Term limits are not a solution really, they are a cop out.

If voters were better voters, we would get better pols.

Pols are an effect, not the cause. The cause is the person who votes. If we don't get better pols, it is because of the voters...not the pols.

It is going to take a strong populist movement to change things, I am sure you understand that. Term limits are just cosmetic, they don't go to the root of the problem...which is stupid voters voting in stupid people.
