I'm not sure what you're on about lad. I know I posted a reply to a comment you had made which was justifying a critical statement you made about someone for their simple spelling mistake (a good speller and a good trader aren't necessarily the same thing) - I just mentioned that I found it a funny irony that your reply had a grammatical mistake in it - if ya can't laugh at yourself, who can you laugh at?

In this thread, which is about John Carter, I commented that I didn't think his video was exactly as it was portrayed - I could be wrong about that - my comments haven't really been trolling have they now?

  3. Hi all...

Well I have listened to TTM (Carter and Senters) for a couple of weeks now and waded through all of their free videos. I signed up for their $5.00 for two weeks trial to get to some of their members only stuff. I find that they are definitely for the newer trader and focus on fairly simple strategies and most importantly a trading plan (which I believe in). I do not think I will sign up for anything further since it is $79.99 a month for their video newsletters (for each one not both) when I can get a pretty good amount of info from their free stuff. Do I think they are crooks? Ehh...don't know but not impressed with the fact that their thousand dollar indicator package can be had for free from the TS forums. BTW I don't currently use TS so I wouldn't know if they were there or not if I had not read this thread. Good info from all and hopefully my two cents is welcome...

  4. if you are a new to the markets you'll find some of their stuff interesting, Senter's coverage of internals is interesting, also they cover all markets stocks, bonds, ag futures, currencies, etc. Not just stocks like others.
Just keep receiving their free videos and free seminars on subjects - price is right :D But I would not sign up for or pay money for anything they promote just yet. It seems sometimes they partner with "industry pros" for joint seminars. I think they had or will have something with Mark Douglas if you consider him pro - but if were wanting to listen to him then combining TTM and his seminars might worth while. Otherwise as you already noticed most of their Indicators available free on TS Forums. I don't know what is the policy with these 'open-source' indicators but apparently one can modify it, rename it and sell for a profit. I wonder if original authors of those indicators got anything from Carter or TS but I do know there is a partnership or collaboration between Carter and TS.
I had posted one of his trading videos on this thread but response was very mixed with no real critique of the trading technique.

    Good luck.

Take a look at the Scalping trade - in his book. Doesn't make any sense. So I emailed him- got an answer from some girl. She said that the indicator was actually much more complex. Give her the due she did describe it fully, but it wasn't as simple as the book made out.

In any case as people have already pointed out - most of the stuff is useless. Book looks good on the shelf though - real thick.

    LOL... good one!

Can you sell it for more if it's "real thick"? Must be.... all the really good stuff will fit into a pamphlet.

It is easy to rationalize a trade AFTER the fact with many indicators/broad strategies at your disposal.
