JoeKrut Trading System

  1. I have both of Joe's Krutsingers books. Definitely worth the money.

He has lots of interesting ideas that I haven't seen anywhere else. He also understands and explains well which part of a system's statistics you have to look at.

I spoke to him a few years ago, and was impressed with his approach.

That being said, I do find his 10k consulting gig a bit on the silly side. But he's not the only one doing that, so draw your own conclusions.

The only thing I know about Joe Krutzinger is that it is nigh on impossible to get off his email list.

He's recently sold the list to eSignal who have started to use it.

How do I know? I used a personalised email address which included the code jk, as in 'joker'.

  6.

I think I have a pretty good idea of how it works now.

I found this on usenet from a few years ago regarding the abberation system. The guy wrote it in jest but I bet its pretty true:

Try this: If the prices moves above the Upper Bollinger band, go long. If
it goes below the middle band, exitlong on the close. If it goes below the
Lower Bollinger band, go short. If the prices then goes above the middle
band, cover the short. Then optimize for the numbers of bars to get a curve
fitted, $2500 trading system call "Aberration". ;-)

  8. It would have made a killing in that one. The system appeared to need atleast some degree of trendiness to do well but not as much to characterize it as a trend following system IMO.

  9. i looked closer at the numbers and they are not good. you would be down in it if you started trading in like march or something. look at the month by month profits. not good. there are some respectable free systems on the wealth lab website that you should start with and try to modify.
