Says the fucking moron who argues in favor of a red state dem being president based on a time when CA was a red state and a Dem only needing 43% of the popular vote to win due to a 3rd party candidate. The same fucking moron who thinks that a Dem who cant even get 80 % of the black vote is popular with blacks
What’s even more important than a few percent in the black vote is the amount of hemorrhaging the Dems have done with the Hispanic vote. This could play a major role in AZ and NV as the trend appears to be continuing. It has already cost them FL. I think at the end of the day progressives would show up against Trump or DeSantis. DeSantis signed a 6-week abortion ban in FL and that would do a lot of damage to him in the General. Hard to walk that one back. At the end of the day the election will come down to NV, AZ, GA, NC, MI, WI, and PA. I don’t think Beshear could beat Trump in KY, but unlike Newsom, his brand could sell well in the Rustbelt, NC, and GA. Remember that it’s not like Trump has a high approval rating either. I’d argue that those who disapprove of both Trump and Biden are more likely to back Biden. Lots of people disapprove of Biden, think he’s too old and incompetent, but at the same time absolutely hate Trump and would vote for just about anybody over him, including a rotting corpse.
Ill educate your dumb ass a little more. While Clinton had the luck of a 3rd party right wing candidate that allowed him to win with 43% of the popular vote other democrat nominees without that luck need around 51%.Thats what Biden and Obama got the last 3 times The Dem won.Hillary,Gore and Kerry lost with 48%.No democrat is getting 51% without progressive and black support.Red State Dems are not getting that support,as you see Beshear couldn't even get 80% with blacks. Hopefully your dumb ass know for the future to stop making that dumb ass argument that because red state dem Clinton won with 3rd party help that any red state Dem can do it.You see what happened to his wife when she didn't have Ross Perot in the race
Polls say differently.Progs that dont like Biden or Trump will vote Stein or West. They are polling around 5%.Stein got 1% in 2016 and Nader got 2.7% in 2000 and we know how much that hurt The Dems. While Im not voting Trump I hope he or any republican win over Biden.Nearly every person I know who voted Biden in 2020 feels the same.
With 4 points separating the Dem winner and loser since 2000 they need Blacks,Hispanics and progressives imo. They are also hemorrhaging Muslims which can play a big role in a few swing states.
Once we get closer to the election, especially in the important swing states I mentioned, many of those voters will accept the reality of the binary choice, hold their nose and come home.
We can respectfully agree to disagree.Progs and blacks showed in 2000 and 2016 they are willing to stay home or vote Green. There are millions more of them now such as myself.Biden only got progs and blacks out in 2020 because he promised police reform, medicaid option for all, free college, student debt forgiveness, no more oil drilling etc.He cant play that card again.
How many people really believed all that would happen in 2020? I know I didn’t. I know many people bought into Obama. However, after he delivered on very little of his agenda with large majorities, did anybody truly believe Biden would pass his progressive agenda? It’s like when GOP candidates talk about balancing the budget. Republican voters know by now that they’re full of shit.
All of it no.Some of it yes. Obama didnt get everything done but he passed the biggest healthcare bill since medicaid and got millions healthcare, and he had to fight like hell to do it.That won him the respect of enough progs to win again. We also like that he took on Wall Street with Dodd Frank. Biden didnt keep any major progressive promises, didnt fight hard for any progressive promises, and down right stabbed progressives and blacks in the back on many of his progressive promises
