The market is very thin today. Apparently the day after Chinese New Year is not an auspicious day to trade. (I'm not chinese and will never fully understand things out here)

I have noticed that quite often there is a chance to get into a pre-market trend, which turned out to be successful today. T2: Bit of a slow entry, but turned out to be OK. T3: Quick drop in futures. T4: Here I didn't follow my trading rules. Thought I could se a sling shot developing after a short fall from 9223 to 9196. T5: Trade was up +9pts before dropped, and I decided to eject. T6: 10:42am: Missed an entry, due to my 3pt entry rule. T7: Placed the order without my 2:nd indicator being in place. 10:53am: Missed entry, just watched. T8: Trade taking to long. Decided to close. As usual after 11am volume is dropping of. Find it harder to get setups. 09:45-11:00 is MY time. Sorry, time stamp in chart is EST.
If you don't mind... Where do you live ? What is your local time when it is 10:00 AM in HK ? I thought that you were from Sweden but that would be some nightly trading hours !
Yep, your right, yawn....... I don't mind at all. My "typical" day: 07:30am Wake-up 08:00am Commute 08:30am Work, simultaneously day/swing trade OMX options (Stockholm) 05:00pm Commute 06:00pm Play, simultaneously try to follow NQ, ES action 09:00pm Hit the sack 02:45am HK trading 05:00am Back to bed All included I get about 12 hours of "market-watching" each day, on and off.
Whatta guy! I wish I could get that much time in on the market. There are few things I enjoy more than watching those pretty charts! Do you have much trouble with fatigue getting to you? Cheer, kp
I don't know if a chart of the underlying index (HSI) will help you? http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=^HSI&d=c&k=c1&a=v&p=s&t=5d&l=off&z=l&q=b Pls let me know if you find something. Right now I'm getting my HK quotes from IB and using QuoteTracker for charts.
