Unemployment rate 7.7%. Anyone remember those republicans who said that the 7.9% figure reported on Nov 2nd would most definitely be revised up because the Chicago boys were manipulating the data?
Canadian Labour Force Survey +50,000 vs est +10,000 Unemployment rate dropped 0.2 percentage points to 7.2% Must be the Chicago boys.
Does your brain understand how we got to the 7.7%? 350.000 unemployed were shifted from unemployed to not looking.
Tell your hair-trigger-posting buddy that. http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=254646
Team Obama and supporters say we've turned the corner. Jobs are being created. If that's the case there is no need to extend unemployment benefits any longer. We can go back to the traditional 26 weeks and it's done. Plenty of jobs out there. Can't have ot both ways. Either it's much better, just like Dear Leader and his supporters say it is, or it's not. http://www.nwitimes.com/news/local/govt-and-politics/56258858-1940-5291-9ace-6da64041318e.html
So if it's good out there, Obama is doing a good job. But if it's bad out there you can stop telling "deadbeats" to "get a job". Can't have it both ways.
That's just the tip of the iceberg. ------------------------------------------------- "If you are on disability, you are not considered to be in the labor force either. As of April, we have added 5.5 million people to the disability rolls since the beginning of 2009, several million above the previous trend. There are now roughly 9 million people on disability. In 1992, there was one person on disability for every 35 workers. It is now about one for every 16 workers. It is hard to believe that so many people have become disabled; disability has literally become another fallback position for people out of work. If disability had stayed at the pre-recession growth rate, unemployment would be at least one percentage point higher, leading to a true unemployment rate much closer to 10 percent and perhaps significantly more." http://www.usnews.com/opinion/artic...why-the-country-is-unhappy-under-obama?page=2
