The CCP would like to believe their own propoganda that Australia is weak and can easily be manipulated to Chinas wishes.
However we know which side our bread is buttered and it's with the West predominantly.
And everyone knows China has something to hide regarding the Wuhan virus fiasco when they lock up their own citizen whistleblowers.
Australia demanding an inquiry into the virus is the last thing they want.

The gummint here have now woken up the the university chancellors enriching themselves on the Asian gravy train, as you put it, whoring themselves out.
There's been a wakeup call, the chancellors will hopefully soon be on the dole queue.
Recently a whole new 'purge' is starting, CCP have infiltrated everywhere with sympathizers, every country.

The first thing I learned in business is: be sure your income never depends from one or very few clients.

Just like in trading: don't put all your eggs in one nest.

I think it is time that Western countries adopt together a strategy to stop the Chinese. If we don't do that, in a few decades China will control (or even invade) big parts of the globe. They control already big parts of Africa and try to infiltrate in Western strategic economical participations. Also don't forget that only a few people control China for 100%.

They wanted to invest €3B into our port. Offer was rejected as a ,,threat to national security".

Africa has no luxury like that. Once a slaves to the west, now becoming the slaves of the east.

They were forming some unions in that region, an equivalent of EU (?).

If they won't stand for emselfs, who else will.

I think Jsop is another person, the new incarnation of Volpunter/Gurlst is now DiceAreCast afaik, already on my ignore list.
That dude must have had over 10 nicks here, but over the years he appeared to be a german bloke living in HK who studied for a while in North America.
Jsop has a deep understanding of Mainland China, he knows some people ride mopeds there.

    Lol.

Sometimes, i get this feeling, that there might be members with tons of alts. A ,,scary" thought is if someone is a fake person, a.i bot, as a project of some team, while you might be chating with it.

volpunter claimed to move to Canada, and JSOP claims to be in Canada so could be the same person. You know luis you are probably right though.

Begs the question however why volpunter ever went to HK if he hated Chinese culture so much. Talk about a masochist.

  8. Funny you say that, I just watched 60 minutes last night on the Wuhan covid whistle blowers.

The way China plays this misinformation game, how it tries to hide its mistakes and errors in judgements while acting so clumsily like an elephant in a glass store, the stupid excuses they use each time to keep the foreign press out, it all appears almost comical...except real lives are impacted and destroyed. All that to serve a dead ideology and a dictator on top who can't take it to be compared with Pooh the bear despite wanting to appear tough.

  9. If you have such a hardon for other users why don't you open your own threads to discuss your issues in depth instead of hijacking others' threads? The issue @themickey brought up is an important one. Please do have that minimum amount of courtesy to move your personal attacks to your own thread. Thanks. On your way out how about a good reason why someone might want to be in HK despite disliking the local culture there: low taxes and competitive with LDN and NYC incomes in finance. I know a number such guys. You are welcome. Back to Australia.

Not sure Volpunter despises China more than the US or Southern Europe, easy to recognize him, he comes up with a new handle, posts a lot, often in a very aggressive way and off topic, plus can`t help bringing Germany to almost any discussion.
Also busy I think in the tech parts of the forum, but I don´t check there, might have missed several of his handles. He changes handles fairly often
Jsop has been here for years, at least with that one handle, can´t say I´m impressed with the dude though, he came up with the allegation one couldn´t wire more than 500usd out of China while I was living there and able to wire out to overseas HSBC accts under my name up to 200k a day. He screamed Fault, than I posted the official link to HSBC Premier China where it explained how Global Transfer worked with their China based accounts, than rather to digest that single page of basic information, he called me a troll and put me on ignore. Duh... for sure the guy is not bothering with researching things out of his POV, But at least he´s been to China and has seen mopeds there. Could be worse I guess...but interesting insight on people´s thought process.
