Looking for a person with strong writing skills to write short summaries of market-moving stories such as earnings, M&A rumors, etc. during and after US market hours. Previous writing/journalistic experience is a plus. If you're a budding trader that follows and has a solid understanding of the markets, and are looking to make some extra cash while you brush up on your trading skills, this could be the job for you. Follow the markets, and get paid for doing it! PM me, and we can discuss the details. Hofferino
You could write a simple program to parse the reuters feed and get what you want. Like there aren't enough "market commentaries" already. opm8
Yes I suppose you could, and thanks for the suggestion. Besides (hopefully) writing more informative, tighter summaries, we try to add value in other ways such as linking out to multiple sources for further research (quite unusual in an otherwise 'protected garden' industry), linking to opinion/analysis of the issue and/or company, and bringing to readers' attention other stocks and ETFs that may be swayed by the news. Using real people to do what can be done by computers is somewhat novel, but we hope that's our competitive advantage.
