"WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. employers cut a deeper-than-expected 263,000 jobs in September, lifting the unemployment rate to 9.8 percent, according to a government report on Friday that fueled fears the weak labor market could undermine economic recovery."

NEWS FLASH OBAMA, ITS ABOUT JOBS. Every statists crat has been pounding his chest about how great the market has been doing but as I have said, its about jobs, not the market.

  2. If you look at the last 20 years of presidential approval ratings and unemployment you will see that they correlate very closely. If the unemployment number doesn't improve by at least 2% in the next 10-16 months Obama is finished.

If I was a liberal who had sense. Hmm. In an imaginary world if I was a liberal and had sense I would be extremely worried right now. I would be worried because I know that Obama has an unemployment deadline and it's closer then his administration and most of his base thinks. The unemployment number and when the deadline takes place is debatable but it is at least agreeable that their is one. If Obama misses the deadline he loses in 2012. That isn't even the worst of it. There is a strong possibility that the economy and unemployment will start improving and keep improving between 2012 to 2016. That means that there is also a strong possibility of a two term Republican president.

This will in turn create a whole liberal generation of deadbeats complaining for decades that Obama got screwed. Whatever caused the recession is your opinion but 2008 may go down in history as being one of the worst years ever to be elected president.
