  1. ya, i know, like totally, LOL ... imagine if everyone works smarter not harder, oh then US would be just like UK, going down the drain by each passing day, don't worry we're already on that path

  2. You know very little of how insurance works if you think I’m padding my agent’s pockets. Agents don’t set the prices. They have no control over the insurance or prices. Checks are not written to them. They are paid by the company. Didn’t you see the 2 bills I posted? The insurance started 6 years ago at $145 and now it has nearly doubled. That’s the company raising the price, not the agent. I’ll look into those quotes a little more and we’ll see if they’re real.

  3. The % of adults with college degrees is at it’s highest level ever. Yet unemployment is up and wages are down. Care to explain that?

  4. Why don’t you just answer my question? Pointing out that I am 24 doesn’t negate anything I say, in fact it shows you can’t answer a simple question. So I’ll ask it again. How are people supposed to stay ahead when they’re incomes are continuously dropping, and they’re cost of living keeps going up? Also, don’t you realize that to work 60 hours, somebody has to be willing to pay you for that. When there are more people willing to work than people willing to pay them, that’s called unemployment. All your hard work and attitude ain’t gonna fix that. Your theory’s seem to be big on logic and less so on practical application.

  5. This is all just another artifact of drawing an artificial barrier between movement of financial capital and movement of labor capital.

Any country worth trading goods with is worth having a reciprocal open door policy regarding labor. Or put another way - any country NOT worth sharing labor with is NOT worth having as a long term trading partner.

The current system is doomed to failure because it is little more than feudalism with a couple dabs of lipstick applied.

What a stark contrast between someone with a can do attitude and someone who can only find excuses. Everyone can find reason's why they can't do something, even seemingly real ones, and yet despite the odds (far longer odds than you or most people are ever likely to experience) people succeed every day. Do you think they are thinking like you or Volente?. Turn that thinking around and find ways to make things work rather than excuses that limit you. Volente's lesson here is priceless: Free your mind from that "should be but can't because" mentality that has you and so many others shackled.

  7. I have a 1992 Camry with 238k miles. I don’t know much about cars, but I know when I’m getting ripped off. I took my car to a different mechanic because it was on a Sunday and they were open. I know they charged me about $200 more and in hindsight I should have just towed the car to my original mechanic the next day, but I wanted to get it fixed so I could get back to work. There is no way this was a $300 job. It’s not bad luck, it’s how life goes. Things like this happen. Cars are a scam. They make them to break down. I’d rather concentrate my time on making a decent living, that way when stuff like this happens I can better deal with it.

I don’t know what exactly was leaking, but they told me it was common and I searched on google and what they were saying was true. It’s a simple cost/benefit analysis. Spend $12 a week on oil leaking, or spend $400 one time to get it fixed. That’s the way it goes.

This was and is how the democrats destroyed the California economy.

Our nation has been sold out by democrats.

It goes back to Ted Kennedy's threat to republicans and his immigration legislation.

I have no problem with opening the doors. But you can't open the doors and give away someone else's farm.

  9. My "theory's"?

Live below your means, whatever they are. Dude, my Mom raised 2 kids with no welfare or child support from my Dad & she started from scratch when my dad beat her, flipped the TV over & walked out the door forever. Her Scottish accent was so heavy, none of my friends could understand her & she got a job & managed to survive. She did it, others can too! I still live below my means, & when my income declines I cutback, even though I'm basicalkly financially independent. Think of the hardships pf the Western pioneers and compare that to the challenges of today.

Can't afford to support yourself? Then don't have children. Can't afford a car, then ride the bus. Can't afford the rent, double-upQ Can't afford a big house, then buy a small one like the 800 SF 2Br/1Bth with 1-car garage that I grew-up in... There are 2 keys:

    1) Live below you means
    2) And stop fucking whining.

BTW, its not my job to answer your inane questions, but seriously, most people are f-ed because of CHOICES they have made. The sick, lame & crazy get a pass.

I was commenting on your age as I think there was something regarding driving.... I had been driving for like a decade & a half before you were even born... At 24 yo, most people don't even know what they don't know.

Wow, when the labor supply exceeds demand then that's unemployment. No shit?

  10. Or get across the border before they're due so that they can be U.S. citizens and provide you with all the freebies that entails.
