I was just browsing through that thread and I happened to find two more posts from you:

You lost 90% of your saving and you were 22 then. Before I saw this, I thought you were just some 35 yr old loser. But you're just 23-24 right now. Granted you may have learned a few things since then. But I see no record of your P/L and honestly without it you got no credibility. Therefore your opinion got the same value as toilet paper to me. After seeing this, the fact you even tried to give me your opinion makes me laugh.

P.S. The same goes for Joe too. No record. No credibility.

I really got to start keeping track of the members here. You just can't tell who's the real deal and who's full of it.

  2. the advice you've been receiving has been pretty boiler-plate but good enough to consider.

  3. The least I will say is that I'm even after 2 years.

I gave you free advice, laughing because the mistakes you are making now, I already did them and they were much more costly so its funny and I;m curious to see how much you learn and how much progress you will make.

Although I was never as cocky as you are and I had a part time job + school to go thru as well. Oh and posting my PNL on this board doesnt benefit me or anyone else, plus no body here has helped me make money, it all came from my own hard work, therefore no need to post pnls imho.

  5. When skydiving, you want to do the following:

    1. Make sure you go with an experienced diver.

    2. Only dive in good weather conditions

    3. Check, double check, and triple check that your parachute is packed correctly.

    4. Wear brown pants

Wait..who the hell am I to give advice about Skydiving? I've never done it ONCE in my life. But I'm pretty sure that if I did go, I'd want to follow those steps anyway.

    The point?

Just because someone might not be a profitable trader, doesn't always mean they cant share important lessons, that newb traders should learn from.

Sorry, I thought you were the same jerk that posted back on page 3. I guess he's not you. Maybe I should start limiting my time on ET. This site can be addicting sometimes and the a$$holes here can really set you off.

I learned to trade while in college too and I agree, most of the best ideas on trading came from lots of hard work and screen time. Books and advice only served as a guide. Whether you post your p/l is up to you. As a matter of fact I wonder why some even bother to do it. For me, I have my own reasons.

    You tell me! Seriously addictive.

For some posting P&L is a way to be recognised as successful traders on these forums. For others it's a way to keep discipline in check (trading as such offers no intrinsic limitation, so public forums are great for shaming for breaking rules).

Lost $270 on 14 trades. Today was the first day in going live with the revised strategy. There was a lot of good calls that would have netted major gains. Problem was the price moved so fast that my orders couldn't get fill. By the time I clicked the mouse, the price had already moved $50 in my direction. Then on some trades that did get filled, stops were so tight that it kept getting hit. That's the difference between simulation and live trading. In live trading you have to deal with technical issues that doesn't exist with sim. That and you have to deal with emotions. Later on tried to made some trade with wider stops that didn't work out. Probably was revenge trading. Oh well.

I got one more check from workers' compensation coming in that should be enough to refund the account. This week was just trying to slowly get back into the game and test out new strategies. They work and they work great. My psychological issues are getting better. I can easily enter and exit a trade. The loss today doesn't even phase me b/c I know I can make it back. My main barrier has to do with having a small account and needing tighter stops. Once this barrier has been broken, the account should start taking off.

Account should be refunded by Mon (Tues at latest)

I mentioned this before. If you're going to mention your P&L here, you should post your actual P&L. The image you posted is from RCG right? And that view doesn't include commissions. Commissions count obviously unless your broker lets you trade for free...............Just saying.......... I'll let you be.
