  2. Well, he's been long commodities and gold for the last ten years, and all they've done is go up. Nobody can time the market perfectly, but I think Jim Rogers is excellent at providing a good macro picture.

I was wondering if one of them wrote something in a book they wrote. It's obvious they don't have each other on their Christmas card list.

His views on commodities and the weakening dollar were dead on.

I like hearing his perspective but its not gospel. Take it with a grain of salt when listening to anyone for that matter

  5. No they very very rarely mention each other.

If someone mentions Soros to Rogers he always goes off subject...

Soros has praised Rogers as an amazing analyst many times...

Also no picture of them together to be found anywhere.

In my opinion, Soros belongs intellectually among the greatest philosophers, scientists and mathematicians the world has yet known.
I read Rogers book on commodities. While it would be nearly impossible to match Soros' rare intellect, it's clear that Rogers too has a keen mind. Rogers was working for Soros. Obviously, when you have two bright, capable, ambitious individuals working together, neither will want for long to be under the thumb of the other. But I have never read or heard any remarks that would suggest that they don't have high personal regard for one another.

SouthAmerica: You forgot to mention that:

By the way, George Soros is a “Zionist” and a regular attending member of the Bilderberg Group annual meeting.

In 2001, Denis Healey, a Bilderberg group founder and, for 30 years, a steering committee member, said: "To say we were striving for a one-world government is exaggerated, but not wholly unfair.”
