Jim Rogers: Citigroup is a buy at $5

Discussion in 'Wall St. News' started by turkeyneck, Dec 27, 2007.

  1. Been watching C trade every day all day for the past two weeks. The stock is weak, no question about that. No end to the selloff yet, I don't think. $20 is within the realm of possibility and $25 seems as likely as $34 here.

  3. Boost - I couldn't care less whether your right or wrong about the your Citi trades. The fact is your making a complete dick of yourself on here. Like it or not mate Rogers has a track record you, I or ANYONE else on this forum would die for. I'll take his word over some bloke who joins a forum and shows no respect for anyone, anytime. Stop acting like a dog marking his territory, and just try and show a little respect for others thoughts and opinions.

    Hi ADW.

    Thanks for your opinion in this free world of freedom of speech.

    I too could NOT care less if i win or lose as my positions are on limited loss i can afford to lose. Also NO margins used up on open positions.

    Maybe Mr Jim Rogers is talking down the stock because he has already opened LONG PUTS on Citi. I would probably do the same if i was on heavy bonus.:D

    Citi is a company that will NOT go into bankruptcy as Mr Jim Rogers tells the muppets who believe every word of his.

    Check out Citi's assets against their liability and you will get to understand my views a little better!!

    see link on assets and rank http://www.forbes.com/lists/2007/18/biz_07forbes2000_The-Global-2000_Rank.html

    By the way the assets are in BILLIONS not in Millions!!!

    As for your comments on respect: I'l show respect to those that deserve it ONLY!! If you spew insults at me first? you'll get some back!

    In short: Spk nice to me and I'll be very nice to you!!

    Rgrds

  5. Amen, and it's not just in this thread. It's everywhere.

    I wish that people couldn't register multiple usernames. That's what causes this kind of crap. This is one of the usual crew of weiners who has a bunch of usernames and just spews all over the site. It's getting hard to keep up but the ignore function has changed the site for me. It is such a relief to edit out all these donkeys.

  6. Thanks Nik - where would I find that ignore button?

  7. AW

    Click 'Your Account' at the top of the page and then find 'Edit Ignore List' in red text at the top of the resulting page. Click on that, then enter the yappy little weiner's name in the first box and click Update List at the bottom of the page. You will get more boxes added automatically in order to ignore other weiners and make your ET experience more enjoyable.

  9. =====================
    Exactly right,Boo123;
    30 is important support or RESISTANCE-1987-now.Also 30 is near midpoint between 1987-now[$5&55]

    May want to reread the link, mr Rogers is short Fannie, C;
    mr Rogers made lots shorting financials in 1987.Most of trends & fundamentals favor polar bears. Hit $10 in 98,
    5 &2.25 in 1987,
    & .36[cents ]in 1974 bear.

    Mr Rogers maybe too optimistic on $5.00, buy but he got the directional probabilities/trends right.

    You may make much money on your feb calls, but most of fundamentals /technical trends are simply against it.

    :cool: Peace thru strength.
