Jim Cramer: "Welcome to Rate Cut!" 10/31/2007

Discussion in 'Trading' started by jreynolds212, Jan 12, 2008.

  1. Cramer's picks (actually "must buy today") from Feb 2000:

SNVX, ARBA, ISLD, EXDS, INSP, INKT, MERQ, SNRA, VRSN, VRTS.

If you did buy those you would have lost more than 90%. Most of them aren't even around anymore.

  2. I was bored and posted this up for fun. However, this thread illustrates how dangerous it can be following a tv personality into a trade. Threads like this seem a little superfluous, but are invaluable at demonstrating how much bad advice is on television from the "experts".

  6. As for Johnson & Johnson (JNJ - Cramer's Take - Stockpickr - Rating), Cramer doesn't understand why Buffett owns it, because it doesn't have much of a pipeline. Maybe Buffett likes it as a play on a great American franchise, Cramer said, but most of its products are drugs and medical devices, not Band-Aids. In addition, until 2012, JNJ has a drug a year going off patent.

  7. The sad part about this is people actually listen to him and buy securities based on his advice.

This guy needs to be shut down. Recommending someone buy an overvalued stock, just because traditional methods haven't been working, is irresponsible, unprofessional, and probably criminal.

Now he pumping AAPL based on an exhibition, and because Jobs is a "great public speaker?" Good grief.
