His father was desperately trying to keep us out of WWII. He was afraid capitalism, which had been good for him, would be defeated. He had already written off Europe and England as not remaining capitalistic.
JFK also liked to trade drugs to underage girls for sex, the guy was pretty much a scumbag, so given that, and his love affair with the Nazi's, he is a natural hero to the left.
Some have a theory that his sons became so liberal in order to atone for their father's illegal and illicit business activities and clear their conscience for all the money that he brought the family. Of course, just giving away the money to the poor never occurred to them. They decided it was much better to give away YOUR money to the poor.
that is an interesting analysis. one more reason for a liberals. 1. we know some want to get in the life boat and pull up the ladder. (cronyism - high taxes on competition keep the potential competition from forming) 2. some are concerned (due to history) that a monolithic majority is bad for their people so the to what that can to "diversify, divide and minimize" the wealth of that group. 3. we know some just want political power 4. some don't think in systems so they just give away 5. and some are guilty for their families crook past. 6. some want to set up a world central power group with world drone workforce. I never had number 5 on the list before. very nice.
Nice list jem. I think you might be missing another to your list. Some are there just to line their own pockets through the political/lobbyist/corporate connections. Waters, Conyers and Rangle come to mind. Plus a few others who have been kicked out of the club as they slithered off to prison.
