  2. A western Judeo Christian definition of what is occult?

Too funny. That is like a right wing conservative definition of what is moral.

I believe in cause and effect. One lifetime only, two, millions, what is the difference?

Again, people who argue that their own religion is the right religion for others have nothing to do with acceptance, tolerance, spirutial virtures, or God and His love.

Just a bunch of men arguing.

  3. Christians disagree on preferences but not on core beliefs. If you look into it, you'll find remarkable agreement on the inner beliefs of Christianity.

By definition, beliefs outside this core are considered "cults" and are a small subset of world Christianity and theism in general.

  4. This is the secular definition of occult not Judeo Christian.

I'm not arguing for Christianity. Look at my posts: you will not see one pro-Christian statement.

I am merely pointing out that you are assuming it is logical to make up your own religion. If there is a God, this is probably illogical and if there isn't a God, this is for sure illogical.

  5. Are you saying that you want everyone should agree with you? If you only want people to post if they agree with you, then you should state that from the beginning...

  7. Exactly! You believe there is not difference. But this is a perfect example of beliefs making a difference. It is no secreat that a belief in multiple lifetimes led to the oppression of the Untouchables. Beliefs have consequences. And belief in the wrong thing has consequences as well.

This is philosophical schizophrenia. Are you seriously arguing that there is no spiritual right or wrong?

  8. i would not call rouge's beliefs occultic. he is simply looking at the issue from an outsiders perspective. one who is trying to reach god outside of traditional religious frameworks.

  9. Okay, it took an outsider to help me see that my wording went too far. But, that said, the belief that you have a unique perspecitve of knowledge about God that gives you unique access to the truth is occult. But, it's true, he may not be occult in the sense that I was...my apologies to ART if it sounded that way.

  10. All I'm saying is if you're agnostic, just admit it. But don't claim that you've got this great inside track with God w/o any evidence...

I completely understand being agnostic by the way, it's universalism that I believe is completely illogical...
