After just being re-elected in his district by the idiots who live there, JJ Jr. will plea to a deal to repay the money he stole, resign from Congress and go to jail.

A former U.S. attorney representing embattled Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. is negotiating a plea deal with the federal government, CBS 2 has learned.

CBS 2 Chief Correspondent Jay Levine has the exclusive details.

The plea deal would end Jackson’s 17-year career as a congressman representing Chicago’s South Side and suburbs.

At the center of negotiations is white-collar criminal defense attorney Dan Webb, who served as Chicago’s top federal prosecutor in the 1980s, when several Cook County judges were indicted for public corruption under the “Operation Greylord” investigation.

Webb, the chairman of Winston & Strawn LLP in Chicago, has been the point person for Jackson in talks with the U.S. Justice Department in Washington.

    The tentative deal includes:

    –Jackson resigning for health reasons.

–His pleading guilty to charges involving misuse of campaign funds.

–The congressman’s repayment of any contributions that were converted to personal use, such as home furnishings, improper travel or gifts.

At least some jail time would appear to be inevitable for Jackson, the son of civil-rights icon Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr. and spouse of Chicago 7th Ward Ald. Sandi Jackson.

He used his name to get rich and buy political power and then hid behind the Mayo clinic to avoid prison. It is all going to come crashing down soon.
  4. That piece of shit should have went to jail with Blokonivich for trying to buy a Senate seat

Tossing Jesse Jackson Jr. into prison is long overdue.

Now if only they'd toss Sr. in there with him.

    And Al Sharpton.
  8. He was an idiot. He said ipads are responsible for lack of jobs in the US. If it was 1900 he would probably go after Ford for putting the horse & buggy whip manufacturers out of business. Or blame the alarm clock manufacturers for putting the knocker-ups out of business. (for those of you that don't know what a knocker-up is, it was a person that used to knock on your door or window until you woke up)
  9. He'll get his own talk show on MSNBC for $5M a year. The far left will continue to fawn over him and tell him what a great man he is -- and, of course, he'll believe every word of it.

Perhaps but he'll probably have to shoot the pilot show from Joliet. :)
