Jem . . . . is the Flesch-Kincaid scale of any substance ?

  1. Oh, no one doubts that the dems are better talkers- especially when action is what is needed.

I wonder if Barry took those fake greek Styrofoam columns with him when he left. Those puppies really sent a tingle up Chris Matthews leg.

  2. Sounds like a lot of butt hurt there. Hope you will be okay.

Perhaps you think that when someone appears on the CNN they are required to agree with the party line of those running the network. Sounds rather North Korean to me.

Let me know when you start seeing that kind of standing up to the media in North Korea and Iran because that is when we will be moving into a better world.

I just hope that the state apparatus- such as the fbi- does not - if they have not already- start surveilling Mr. Miller under orders of or collusion with dem party officials. If you want to start worrying about north Korean analogies then start worrying. We are seeing plenty of them in DC and they are not all- if any-coming from the republicans. The dems? Well, that's a different story isn't it?

Trump learned how to communicate in simple sound bites through years of having to make sound bites to get on the news.

His asides are generally simple sound bites for the media. I don't think it really says much about his intellect. It could mean he thinks as clearly and concisely as hemmingway or it could mean the media ate up what he had to say because he was speaking to their viewers on their level in their national broadcasts.

What I do know is that if you are going to put down his base... remember what was different about his base.... democrats.

That was not standing up to the media, that was a show for dear leader. Jake Tapper asked legitimate questions and all our worm of a government employee did was stroke King Donald the genius’s ego.

    Sycophantic garbage.

Trump communicates like he is on television wrestling. Even his mannerisms, like when he steps away from the podium, raises his hands and nods his head in agreement with his last statement is taken from those theatrics. He is a crude and elementary communicator.

What have you gotten from his communications other than pipe dreams and bumper sticker slogans? There is no greater cause or aspiration. It’s all resentment.

Jem may have a good point. Speaking style may not be a reliable indicator of intellect. Trump's style of communication may have been an acquired style effective when dealing with rich, stupid people, bankers, or contractors he intended to fleece. On the other hand Trump may be totally devoid of intellectual curiosity, completely self absorbed, and a dullard. Someone who, unless he was picking up the tab, you'd just as soon not bother with. Probably it is the latter.

  7. As opposed to parasitic/symbiotic behavior by the Fake News Network. They- along with MSNFakeNewsBC and others complain rather loudly but are dependent on Camp Trump for viewership. Trump keeps them in a constant state of outrage which is good because otherwise rigor mortis would set in on their boring arse shows.

We agree on a second thing although I would not have written your last sentence. I think its possible he was smart when he was younger and then all those diet cokes have taken a toll on his intellect.

I just can't believe he was able to make it with all the sharks in the construction, banking and politics in new york, without being very sharp for some period of time. In the 70s and 80s and the 90s before Giuliani cleaned it up New York was a very tough and frequently ugly place to do business.

what have we gotten from the last 2 decades of establishment republicans and democrats?
massive inflation and a country full of takers as they allowed the elites to extract the wealth from our country.

We went from Kennedy, a democrat stating ask not what your country can do for you... to what we have now... identity politics, the balkanization of immigrants and grubertization and massive inflation destroying our standard of living.

the irony of a democrat talking about hollow slogans.

how about massive immigration and pretending to care about wages?

  10. Trump is a genius in how he has played the media, no question about that.
