He was in a consensual relationship with the woman for +15 years prior to CNN when they both were at another network. It seems he didn't disclose the relationship at CNN and it seems that it would have been OK had he disclosed the relationship instead of keeping it secret. I wonder if he or the woman were married (still are) to someone else during their +15 years consensual relationship considering it would seem odd to not have married or not living together in a common-law marriage ??? Thus, is he resigning because he was having an affair ? I know a guy that was married 3x but had an affair with the same woman for +12 years but never getting married to her. She's hot, erotic but didn't have the education and family/business connections as the other 3 women he married. wrbtrader
It is not technically.... lawyers for CNN afraid of lawsuits so the old man did not disclose the relationship which could create a scenerio for a harrassment suit that would cost the company money so they forced him out.. More of a violation of company policy to reduce liability in litigation...
Big time. If she received any promotions during her time with the network or preferred assignments they could be looking at classic “quid pro quo” sexual harassment and that’s title vii gender and whatever state laws exist.
Yeah it avoids all potential lawsuits when the relationship sours and the dumpee takes it out on the dumper some way and all the headlines will see is sexual harrassment lawsuit... I think even disclosing the relationship creates problems as the company will try to still separate the two parties somehow to avoid the lawsuit down the road...maybe they have a relationship agreement like The Office
