JD has more and more fans among women who also prefer intimate relationships with inanimate objects. Mostly because of JD Vance.

Well, I guess their's are more animate than a couch.

A week after President Barack Obama won reelection in November 2012, JD Vance, then a law student at Yale, wrote a scathing rebuke of the Republican Party’s stance on migrants and minorities, criticizing it for being ‘openly hostile to non-whites’ and for alienating ‘Blacks, Latinos, and the youth,'CNN reports.

“Four years later, as Vance considered a career in GOP politics, he asked a former college professor to delete the article. That professor, Brad Nelson, taught Vance at Ohio State University while Vance was an undergraduate student.”

“Nelson told CNN that during the 2016 Republican primary he agreed to delete the article at Vance’s request, so that Vance might have an easier time getting a job in Republican politics.”

It's as if the psyche, in response to overwhelming pressures, finds ways to "bend" moral boundaries in order to preserve itself. Some children grow into adults who hold tightly to their principles after difficult experiences, but others adapt by developing more fluid/amoral ethical frameworks to survive.

I think Vance telegraphed it in his book, which won't have been near the whole truth.

If a child is surrounded by adults or peers who regularly engage in morally questionable behavior, they might internalise these actions as normal, especially if they have a neurologically inherited disposition. They learn that success or power/protection from harm comes not from adhering to moral principles, but from manipulating them. Over time, they don't even view their actions as immoral.

I know somebody who grew up with a dirty cop father and he is a good man but his younger brother is a real shit. I have wondered if it's because their dad just gave up hiding his graft. That or the expensive holidays and lifestyle was just the norm for the younger.

The biggest winner at last night's VP debate? Vance's eyeliner company.

JD Vance's eyeliner distracts Walz VP debate viewers as they beg him for make-up tips
JD Vance and Tim Walz faced off in the vice presidential debate on Saturday night - but many viewers were too distracted by Vance's eyeliner to pay attention to the policies

Lies do not suddenly become truths because, instead of shouting them out with orange makeup and a wig, you serve them up with a smile, eyeliner and a hipster beard.
