elephant in the room is the 3559-69 nip we broke yesterday ,if we stay at or under look for a retest of that 535 ledge
Thanks ammo. ============= not the cleanest PA so far today. focusing on entries, pulling the trigger. Exits need adjustment. not too concerned with that today. I've done that type review before. It's an easily fixable issue separate from entries. That's an important distinction as before I would look at a low win rate as poor entry selection. Definitely some poor trade management today. I'm fine with all my entries except the 4th. despite the current -6.75 on the day it feels good to be pulling the trigger. I hope the entries are OK with my coaches ! attached chart a little cluttered but includes all the lines for all trades. I usually pull some channels, tl's off as PA unfolds. Wondering if OEX today is going to make trading difficult the rest of day. Indices little changed vs yesterday close which I've always considered an indicator of less than ideal opportunities
J Could you post this same chart with only your trades..., and no context I want to show you some things - but need a clean chart to do so ============== Trade 4 - nothing wrong with the entry - you simply held too long after the signal failed price was heading down - preceded with weakness - then reversed and headed back up - the big up bar should have alerted you to exit Trade was fine - management of trade - not so ============== I'm also going to ask if you'd be willing to start using this / following this format - for every trade - helps in removing yourself / and make trading - methodically repetitive. Trade plan (created for each trade) 1.) Signal / Entry 2.) Initial Stop loss signal / Stop loss price 3.) Target / Method of managing trade RN
IDK about clearer. I think I'm seeing most of that in real time. the moves off the open and PB's are trades I'm not good enough , quick enough or comfortable enough taking. I'm working on a LTF near the open and working on ME to try to catch those. The FBO (failed break outs) , there I'm not quite following you. Hmm, maybe I am. I used to trade those FBO's and was always early, losing, calling the reversal. But here i see the context, S/R , makes the difference. that second FBO or test of support is not one of my set ups currently. The chop comment is a great reminder. You've mentioned that before and had I picked up on it I may have exited sooner. Wife just got home. Got to figure out dinner. Thanks RN !
yeah... not suggesting you adopt this - just trying to introduce more horizontal into you context Your diagonal is good... maybe a little overkill - but good RN
Before I was basically only using horizontals. So, glad to hear the diagonals are correct. I'd never put much weight on them. Have a good weekend , RN.
