    The mkt is a constant barrage / assault - never underestimate that

    Until it ingrained to your very core (live / breathe / sweat it) - to be objective.., to follow the routine.., to maintain the patience

    You'll need to be the surrogate..., meaning..., you'll need to ensure you're in the correct SOM.., and remain in such throughout each session - every time you trade

    However..., once you can completely separate - remain an observer / exploiter..., and no longer by any measure a participant - the entire session

    The assault eases considerably - as does the SOM roller coaster ride - then trading really does become just another job

    =================

    Takes time and repetition to build a proper trader / proper trader's mindset my friend

    You are doing great ;)

    Keep on truckin

    I don't have any state of mind any more, you pump enough medications and three brain procedures later, can't remember if I have socks or gloves on my feet and yes, I have put my gloves on feet one day. I have a disease called Sarcoidosis-chronic, and short term memory is a trip, often ending up at Starbucks when I am suppose to be on other side of town, thank goodness I learned how to trade in long term memory. I can remember dates, times, all the photo memory before April 2010, but now I carry around 50 notes in my pocket including home address, no joke, but it is rather funny. Most likely will give up driving pretty soon, but hey, I can trade. Really odd I can remember how to build a house from prints, lay brick, put in windows, do concrete...can't remember if I bought anything last week, LOL. have to start buying six of everything so I can find some of this stuff. But errors are an opportunity to do something again only to try to remember to do it differently.

    But the emotions I had before, I still remember when I see certain setups, the worst it looks the odds favor me of lower losing percentages.

    It is funny, I can find highs and lows fairly reasonable well at it and get one tick for the profit, but today I traded less than 30 minutes of day session, did some pre market for grins. As they say, make some coin before I lose and having the Time Rule will stop me from some better profitable trades, but I rather not lose than concern myself with missed profits. Really, who cares if you make your goal in fifteen minutes, walk away, build account up then add one till you double the account, this way if you have a losing day, you have plenty to keep with the two lot.

    And I do not recommend to anyone to average down and trade with no stops, I do it cause I have back tested over 26,000 sample size on tick data going back over ten years, and I started day trading 1985 ish, had a broker named Jack Carl, let me call down to the floor.

    What all this means and Life,stay the course of what you plan, don't let anyone stop you from your dreams, have a Trading Plan for trading and going across town, LOL and laugh every chance you get cause it is all really funny and amusing. Am starting to feel like Rain man.

    Starbucks Time, I can find that place, LOL.

  5. That's good info, thanks. Doesn't feel like I'm doing great but at least when I screw up I know why. Slow progress is better than no progress.

    ===============

    Today was a mix of doing really well, nice execution, great focus and then trying to think I was smarter than my plan. Didn't have the separation I'm supposed to have.

    I really should be a much better trader than I am. I say that with more awe than frustration.

    Lost a couple ticks when I should have been + an easy 50 not counting the missed trades.

    I take back what I said above. Slow progress right now is BS. And I'm a little frustrated with myself. I do see my potential and that's at least encouraging.

    Back at it tomorrow. Fresh and focused.

    Your learning cure - is your learning cure

    Want to speed it up - become one with your trading plan..., instead of second guessing it

    ============

    You are doing great - just takes time..., and a willingness to follow

    Be easier..., if you were a simple minded.., dumbass ;)

    Jas, you can't just sit on your rump and watch other people live, we all going to croak eventually, might as well have some fun.

    I am not the type to say from the heart or give you a big hug, so what the hell are you doing it is Wednesday already!!! What the hell is the problem? You not paid to think, you are paid to see a signal and put damn thing on, RIGHT ? If ya worked for me, you be outside picking weeds with tweezers. Comes down to do you believe in your Trading Plan? Do you believe in it or not? When you lose focused, get out of the chair and stand and trade. I have a laptop in front of treadmill, I can walk my silly rump and click the mouse, you might be getting tired when you lose focus, do jumping jacks, pushups.
