Art, You are welcome to post here, and I'm sure the mods would agree, as long as you stay on topic. If instead you have questions or comments outside of the current discussions you may want to consider starting your own journal. good trading to you. jas
I had a think last night before turning in Art…, I truly want to Thank You Sir I had absolutely no idea - how many wonderful…, and amazing people hung out here in J’s journal My eyes were woefully.., and ignorantly closed…, you opened them Sir You gave me a blessing; no matter how much I see…, there is always more to see Thank You Again Sir ========================= J, Do your job today – strictly by the numbers Screw everything else RN
we are trader. take risk of loss for hope of greater gain than 9-5 job. by definition, we have strong opinion & personality. i like you, may not alway agree ha
So long as our personality / opinion never gets in the way of the mkt's opinion - its all good I agree though - we must all be independent Thank You J has invited you to pull up a chair and hang out with the rest of us dumbasses Please...., and Welcome Group think is dangerous.., and disastrous Besides..., I learn more from folks who disagree with me.., and it also what makes a mkt RN
A bit choppy and pretty low volume early on. My first two trades stopped out. Became more cautious and then missed some good set ups. The holiday week low volume was playing with my head. If I had ignored the low volume and just traded the set ups I probably would have done fine. -33 ticks today and shutting down. Tough call to quit . Seems like the opportunities may be there. Anyway, done for the year. I'll come back at it next week. I consider today an off day. It bothers me but I won't dwell on it.
Two thoughts Volume - low or otherwise - need always be deciphered within current context What seems low for normal days - during the holidays.., could very well be normal This wold be a good topic to go back in time..., research..., and create some stats / notes for Also note what you find in your journal - for referencing this time next year =============== next; Returning back from time off / extended weekend I've always found myself to be mentally sluggish / not nearly as quick to get up to speed To counter this - the first day..., even couple of days before returning - I get on SIM (even subscribe to one) Not suggesting you get a subscription necessarily.., am suggesting you create a routine to "get back into the mental swing of things" before trading Exciting life of a trader - one routine..., after the next ==================== Good Job J win or lose - you did your job That is..., what consistent trading about RN
