Trading is a damn sight better these days

Less stress.., less randomness.., less out of control..., more patience.., more consistency.., more objectivity

And the shit only gets better from here :)

    Good Job J

Remember to celebrate the victories - you've worked your ass off for every one

  6. And when the going gets tough I put the rats back in the cage. Well, not completely. There were plenty of opportunities after the early part of the session but my drawdown made me cautious. Instead need to focus on the set ups and let the rats continue working.

This day will provide hours of material for me to review. There were some trades I'm not sure if it was the method or me forcing a trade. I will review.

It was choppy early on and trades just weren't working. There were a couple mistakes I made. After a series of trades I'm -53 ticks. No frustration, no revenge trading, just the way it went. Took one more figuring if it didn't work I'm shutting down. That went to target.

This is when I should have let the rats do their thing and keep taking set ups. Had I done that I would be + on the day. But i was cautious. Finished -11. Did have one trade go MFE 19 just missing my +20 target and got BE.

Had I been frustrated or making big mistakes I would have shut down sooner. Instead staying calm allowed me to make back some losses. Maybe I got lucky this time.

Lunch time. I'll review trades and Me later today or this weekend. Overall it was a good week but I really need to improve my discipline and my probability mindset.

To add a perspective to your review, here are my trades in CL today. I was playing for a reversal all day and got it in the end. Played it tight until then and missed some entries. Made some coinage, but should have been more.

    Gotta ask the obvious

    Was a choppy day
Was Friday (which are typically less than stellar movement)
And as each trade plan contains 3 components - one of which is a method by which to manage each trade

I applaud the BE stop - but why not take the money once the trade management piece broke down

    Rhetorical if you prefer

Not beating on you - as overall you had a really good (trial by fire as it were..., and you passed)

Good Job trading...., Good Job managing you

Definitely celebrate the victories this weekend

But - also be ready Monday :)

  9. Thanks Helgen.

Thought about grabbing something on that trade but I've seen 'em have deep PB then reverse right back up. It's a good question though and one I think about.

Look at all those missed trades... That's what bugs me more. I'll get there though.

Thanks RN. Have a great weekend!

Not whether we make mistakes - it how we recover..., that reflects what we're made of / who we are
