Japanese vs Americans during a disaster.

  1. This article is related insomuch as what causes "America" to be low in measures of civility and criminality (of which i include a criminal response to disasters) relative to less "diverse" nations is made abundantly clear by the use of NYC crime stats:

    http://www.city-journal.org/2010/eon0514hm.html

If all of the USA had the ethnic composition of Oregon or New England (as it was till not all that long ago) our nation would not be the laughing stock it is today with regards to civility, crime, disaster response, education, and many other things.

Liberal (including liberal-conservative) lies just do not cut the mustard anymore.

That global IQ score data is bullshit - by whose standards is it based on.
Western ecomonic values I guess? The people who compiled it what makes them think they can judge others. Who are they, well I don't believe they are more intelligent. Because thats what it takes to judge others, you must be a superior being.

Hong Kong full of Chinese is No.1 yet China is 12 the Chinese motherland. So we are made to believe here once a China man goes to Hong Kong is IQ rises tenfold and when back to his motherland it drops tenfold. What utter bullshit.

Each race has an IQ thats related to survive in their natural habitat. e.g a a bushman's IQ is relevant to his envoronment and they have survived quite well there for thousands of years, no need for bushmen to think about a fridge or snow thawing devices, he does not need those Western things, so natural his creativity is limited to exist in his world. He does not need also to go to Med School he has his ways of healing the sick and it works. It does not mean he has an inferior IQ to somenone who lives in an apartment on the 88th floor in Tokyo & swashes around in a Lexus.

Western values are not the benchmark for everyone for everything.

  5. So if Mississippi was 100% Chinese, it would be the richest state in the USA.

  6. actually No.12 is very impressive for such a large population. The small Chinese states like Hong kong and Singapore have less variation and so are always top

  7. One final note.

It is not simply that some of our "diverse" elements are less intelligent and have lower impulse control, (which truly comes home to roost when a disaster strikes).

Diversity itself is a huge negative when it comes to civic-mindedness, community spirit, trust, and a huge number of things that are particularly relevant during a crisis response.

    http://www.boston.com/news/globe/ideas/articles/2007/08/05/the_downside_of_diversity/

Robert Putnam, a Harvard academic, blew the lid off the "diversity is a strength" myth years ago in a way that he never intended.

Unfortunately, the brainwashed public is still largely asleep on the issue, and honest discussion has not reached the public square.

(By the way "silicon valley" type diversity is self-selection by high IQ, not genuine "diversity")

Word. I googled it and it basically states that a number of African countries' inhabitants are, on average, clinically retarded? As in too dumb to form coherent sentences etc. While I am sure many are not educated properly and therefore underdeveloped, I'm not for a second going to believe that Ethiopians are ON AVERAGE clinically retarded.

Other than that, IQ scores are a bunch of bogus anyway because it purports to measure potential while all it really measures is progress (which is correlated with economic value, incidentally). I can pretty easily increase my IQ score by at least 5% if I train in advance for the kind of questions it's going to contain while those who have no experience at all with that kind of questioning/reasoning will score low.

I'll wait for a metric that measures base intelligence (as opposed to developed intelligence) instead.

for the sake of discussion I won't refute any of your points. My question to you is 'what is the point of this line of thinking?' rephrased: 'why do we care?'

what good does it do to keep perpetuating these ideas?
