Japan, Zero Interest Rates, & Inflation

  1. Can any economists or wanna be economists out there answer my question...

Did Japan ever get raging inflation with their near zero interest rates? And if not, why not?

  2. I'm not the economist you're looking for, I just live in Japan.

There was no inflation. There was deflation. One major point that brought it on was the deregulation that lead to competition.
