I never said they knew what they're doing and make wise choices. They obviously usually don't. But actually they do get together to decide what to buy at the beginning of the year. I've heard this from several sources. They have many millions or in some cases billions of dollars to put to work and they have to put it somewhere. They buy equities. Bonds have had their run mostly for now. This is the way it goes down. They're not trading, they're investing for the year and longer. Wish I knew even more about how and when the institutional people do what they do since let's face it, you and I don't really move the markets, they do. We're in our little kayaks in the harbor and they're the supertankers.
