When you're attacked on your own soil by terrorist cowards on a suicide mission...war will always be the consequence regardless of how much finance will be needed to go to war.

Al-Qaeda terrorist pan-Islamic militant organization left us with no options except to defend ourselves against further attacks.

Simply, if he did nothing and allowed more attacks on United States soil as such...the cost would have been much greater in money and lives. Similar situation when we were attacked by Japan at Pearl Harbor although other countries like Canada had already declared war on Japan a few years earlier because Canada wasn't stupid enough to believe the propaganda bullshit.

  2. When looking at all of our rights taken(Patriot Act/spying on us), financial cost of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars cost (4-6 trillion),troops killed and wounded etc Al-Qaeda won big time imo.

  3. The subject of the discussion was how much of a pass should Bush get for his debts and deficits. You want to go to war fine, end the tax cuts and increase taxes to pay for it imo.

I do not want to go to War. I've already done that plus missions in a foreign countries when there was no war.

The issue with me, I will defend my country (the United States of America) of citizenship the same way my father, grandfather and great grandfather did when attacked...no matter the financial cost to prevent a much higher cost and lost lives.

I'll leave the online propaganda bullshit debates to those whom have never been to war, never served, or continues to live in a country they blame for defending itself when it was attacked by a terrorist organization.

Today, I only worry about defending my family. I hope I'm never put in the position again of defending my country at all cost.

You know what I said...I specifically identified the terrorist organization (Al-Qaeda).

The country that it was based within and financed by a government of that country...that country became the enemy too.

Regardless, old battles and old arguments...war is messy and liars on both sides in governments.

Again there is no evidence that tax cuts cause lower revenue the next year
If we did tax cuts and flat-lined spending, debt would go down

After all, Clinton had won election in 1992 not by promising to slash government, or to expand it, but to “reinvent” it. He and Vice President Al Gore, who headed the reinvention effort, promised a “common sense government” that “works better and costs less,” not a federal bureaucracy that was markedly smaller in terms of its ambitions.

The problem was Republicans had swept to control of both houses of Congress in the midterm elections of 1994 by promoting a “Contract with America” that was a small government manifesto. It proposed eliminating, privatizing and consolidating whole agencies and Cabinet departments, slashing federal employment, and trimming federal pay and benefits. And it was a huge political success.

  10. Republicans had control of both houses of Congress during Reagan,Bush and Trump presidencies, they never had a surplus.
