  1. The deficit was 60 billion when Reagan took office,152 billion when he left.

The deficit was a 236 billion SURPLUS when Bush took office,a 1.4 trillion dollar deficit when he left.

The deficit was 585 billion when Trump took office,a 2.7 trillion dollar deficit when he left.

Tax cuts give a slight short term boost, but as soon as any kind of economic downturn happens tax revenues crash while spending does not doing far more damage than if the tax cuts had not been implemented.

The deal is that if you want to increase defense spending the Democrats force more social spending

My point is that tax cuts don't cause deficits , its the spending

  4. They also invent spiffy conservative sounding names for their spending in order to market them. And actually have been quite successful at that.

We have had "infrastructure bills" that were just a front for a bunch of woke shit.

And we have had "inflation reduction" bills that were in fact the/one of the major drivers of inflation and also were 90% woke shit.

So on and so forth. Much of the "defense spending" they support is also for social issues withing the military, not for anything that increases the actual lethality of the American military. There is no clear line between a dems view of defense spending and a dems view of social spending. It's all social spending. Just like in LA fire department. Wall to wall sexual freaks at the top ranks promoting all the issues that go with their needs, but no water in hydrants. They can't be bothered with nasty, boring, white colonial issues like that.

  7. Democrats pay for much of their spending by increasing taxes, which is why Clinton turned a multi hundred billion deficit into a multi hundred billion surplus and Obama turned a 1.4 trillion dollar deficit into a 585 billion dollar deficit.

Republicans increases defense (and other)spending while massively cutting taxes for the rich, which is why Reagan turned a 60 billion dollar deficit and into a 152 billion dollar deficit,Bush turned a 236 billion surplus into a 1.4 trillion dollar deficit and Trump turned a 585 billion dollar deficit into a 2.7 billion dollar deficit.

This is why many conservatives became never trumpers.

Donald Trump Built a National Debt So Big (Even Before the Pandemic) That It’ll Weigh Down the Economy for Years
The “King of Debt” promised to reduce the national debt — then his tax cuts made it surge. Add in the pandemic, and he oversaw the third-biggest deficit increase of any president.

  10. He still is not because...Congress runs spending and they are spending whores and the presidents go right along... trump is not a conservative, he is just whatever gets the most hard ons but many of his tax cuts expire in 2025 so let's see what Congress does going forward.

Despite the claims that dems inflate the deficit with social spending, almost every single GOP president since Reagan has exploded the deficit because tax cuts combined with increased spending do the smae thing to the country it does to business with declining revenues and increase costs....deficits. Econ/Finance 101. Tax cut affect on revenues goes away 2 years in as Congress overspends what it cut and lo and behold...deficits increse.

How are the dems responsible when each time it was a GOP led government.
