GRMN all flat now. combined loss: -1203.

Nothing to worry about, that wasn't just my kind of market with this back and forth...

EDIT: MOS was very very bad timing on that close... especially considering the fact, that i posted only little above, that Joe average would put his stop @ 59.20... well they got chased, and stock just falls off the cliff right after...

GRMN@48.90, guess if it can't go down it must go up, 5k long.

Danger of overtrading, so if this trades doesn't work out, i'm done for the day.

  3. be careful.... broader market is in chop and hasn't picked any side over the other yet...

  4. slight downside bias as of now on s&p..so longs are risky considering no signs of buying whatsoever...

yeah, I know, and it might very well remain like that for the whole day.

Had I know we were in chop-mode, i wouldn't even have started trading today..

    Oh nice

One interesting detail on this GRMN market hit:

The 49.09 sell was partially executed in two parts of 100 each, so i guess those limits weren't whipped out by the big market buyer itself, but some other guys...

I reckon that's HFT paradise... front running

  7. fyi...I usually wait until after 9:50ish-10ish ny time to take any stock trades because the bulk of the order flow has been set and the stock will usually drift in one direction...

  8. this weak open on the spoos will likely result in a chop suey today...

must have extra precision only when a trend asserts itself....

I like to trade close to and right after open, as some of the best trades (when big momentum builds up) occur right then... eg. THLD yesterday

But i agree with you, the other side of the medal is chopiness.

  10. I agree with you that you can get some great trades off the open

at least with my setups....I discovered that patiently waiting for the 10 am reversal time zone gave me a statistical edge as it removed tons of my losing trades...but I agree that there's no right or wrong way...
