What? Someone would avoid seeking treatment for a mental disorder because he knows it might disqualify him from buying a firearm? Those are EXACTLY some of the people who shouldn't have access to guns. 2A says "right to bear arms shall not be infringed". Should we make an exception for those known to be mentally unstable... and have been prescribed psychotic drugs?
Don't misread what I wrote. There are many factors involved in all of this. Let's not completely excuse the medical community - not all prescriptions are properly prescribed, not all diagnoses are properly made. I said it's a conundrum.
Disagree. I don't see it as a "conundrum". If as a society we are going to exclude certain members from their 2A rights... because of reasons we believe to be appropriate... we must accept that reasoning. We can't hold every exclusion hostage to the notion, "perhaps this time was wrong".
Crazy or no? I'm no psychologist but if there were a committee review I bet the outcome would be no to this chick. https://www.cosmopolitan.com/lifestyle/a22843372/wedding-shaming-twitter-thread/ And the parents were where, exactly?
That is part of the entitlement mentality we have today! Me, me, me, me! And they broke up? She got 8 suckers who each paid $1,500 each. Did they get their monies back?
