Huh Ms. or Mr. Moderator don’t like if we are interested into women!? Well - In Trading, You must always look at the bright side of life!!! So you got to pull your sleeves and pull your socks up and get to work… ‘’Get that bus out, noooow!’’ Thanks to Sprout, for that old manual patronizing astonishing idea… I’d admit, I was years ago manually sifting through all Mr.Hershey’s posts and yes it seems still I could not find what I’ve read long ago (maybe it was deleted or who knows) but I did found possibly some new ‘’gems’’ which somewhat answer my questions. Or I‘ve re-read them, at least. https://elitetrader.com/et/threads/sctlearning-from-scratch.282221/page-2#post-3944164 https://elitetrader.com/et/threads/the-basic-flaws-in-ta.59109/page-29#post-911255 I still don’t see better place to search for a trading-woman than on trading forum… Because, here you’ve got the best chances... I guess it is allowed only for older members, as their perks… Also one million dollar advice or notice is also deleted… Which is solid good important, >>with whom you live<<…if anyone at all here are interested in risks… The weakest chain-link will snap and you are in the deep black water... If anyone is interested in unmoderated versions of my posts I will send you via p.m… I didn’t edit anything, that was moderator... For an example: When doing a search...we must search through search engine 1.search everything 2.keywords : forex 3.posted by member: jack hershey 4.search in forums: all forums When searching just for term: >>FX<< – you can not search because it is somewhat too short. That is a small bug, at least when searching for some important terms - as we can see. As I said - I’m solid good into Hershey but not too much… And I’m not quite sure about volume and all that stuff… And as we can now see: “Forex cycles are too brief” among other ideas... But that is still much more broader I think. He wasn’t into forex (yet!) ...and as I said previously - FX is a different monster. For now (and as always and as everyone does) I must go my own way, but will maybe implement some of his ideas… Anyway, Thank You Controversial Mr.Hershey (Ok, enough, now I've seen admin p.m. notice so will try in other part of the ET to see how many if any girls are here...Fair enough...)
FWIW... In October of this year I funded an account, a nano account, at Oanda. As a USA resident, there are minimal broker choices. Gain Capital has major strikes against them from personal experience with Gain via futures trading a few years ago, so Oanda was almost a one-horse race. Just saying. Anyway, I opened the account to see first hand how JH methods hold up in forex. I trade live, not sim, to develop conclusions, hence a nano account size. Since Oanda is the "biggest" broker in the space (for retail US residents), the "tick volume" IS useful for JH methodology. I also refer to a price/volume chart of the corresponding full-size currency futures contract (not available via Oanda/Oanda platforms, afaik). As for how it's going... I'm looking to triple the account, no time limit. That will equal $600. Like I said, it's nano! But that will give me enough knowledge and hands-on experience to say yay or nay to forex (using JH methods). I use 50:1 leverage, and started trading with 2 micro lots per trade. No scale in or out, I am an all-in all-out trader. Right now, I am inching towards the first doubling and trading 3 micro lots. My initial "plan/goal" is/was to average $10 or 5% per week. I have yet to develop constant or consistent time(s) for trading forex, but it is not during the US equity index RTH futures session. Aside from determining the validity of JH methods in forex, I am also learning (some) patience. Just remember, YMMV... I have above average understanding and hands-on trading experience and knowledge of JH methods, as I use it daily trading the futures markets, which is my livelihood. Happy Holidays.
