Because nobody else makes such pompous and grandiose claims. And then there's the pied piper/guru adoration that he fishes for. Anyone making claims of greatness opens the door to be called on it. If you search google groups you'll see he's been playing the same game for YEARS. Even led on some guys from Harvard who eventually threw up their hands in frustration.
