Jack Hershey Method: Beginner Rockets

Discussion in 'Chit Chat' started by Chicken Little, May 26, 2006.

  1. Don't let chicken's stuff have much influence on you.

The difference between the two of you is fairly clear.

wwere you to take on a new project, consider using your exits as a means of taking on the part of a channel that is the nondominant retrace (traverse). Sometimes it is a profitable trade.

As you are seeing, the rocket detection that he is doing is usually the beginning of a dominant traverse of the trading channel. that is he is operating one fractal faster than the trading fractal people use to make money SCT trading.

Rockets are chosen as no risk trades because the dominant traverse in any channel trading is the faster part of the channel and its corresponding pace.

I was hopping he would complete the backtest coding but that is not in the cards. The rocket is a dominant traverse of a trend and the beginner restraints that I add to the rocket to minimize risk are causing the coding of the backtest he created to be controlled primarily by these two elelments.

The rejoinder is "I did what you said". Yes he got protected from himself and that is very very important. What he did was part of what he thought I said. He can see that in detail by referring to the paltalk recordings or transcripts.

I definitely needed your WOW to make these comments.

when anyone does any back tsting without the channel formed with the beginning adjacent bars they have missed the point.

Here you get to see listed he first and adjacent bars of the beginning of the channel that is the rocket that you, easy, do trade.

what he is recording are data sets that are not often seen by people who trade rockets to make money manually. they ae momentary blips on the screen whose lack of sustained presence make them trivial.

The echo of "I did what you said" richochets once again down the corridor. The channel coding ain't there in any way. the channel coding is there for what reason? It is what makes more money. It is the "inbetween" that is left out.

The nice and beautiful part of rockets is the fact that bars on the slowest fractal possible show up as bars that all traverse the space between the boundaries.

Most people can see the initiation of a rocket. they do not see the way a rocket can continue until the dominant traverse of the trading channel is completed.

I will, of course, be told that I screwed up and what information that was thought to be available did not include what was needed to do the job if a person is a chicken or a hyp or a nonsense type.

The people who get what a 33 page schematic of the logic for this, do get the chance to have a mechanical system for makng money that nails down the points the market profers.

Chicken is trying to do something unrelated to making money using no risk trades.

Why do I hold up a beginner from entering until the histogram on a specific set of defaults I dictate for MACD occurs. I want him to manually go through the routine of four parts over and over to get it understood for him how a dominant traverse of the trading fractal works.

Easy sees it and sees shorts are better than longs. Hmmmm. nice. Pragmatic, etc.... He gets the message and turns 5k into 200K plus in two years.

Why the 10K plus for volume? Well i want pace of the dominant traverse to be there to drive the trading channel width to a nice start of the day channel width determined by the initial dominant traverse.

Well, of course. I hear "I did what you said" as a refrain on that one.

For me all this chit chat from the B people is just an idiot proofing exercise for me to have in hand.

Its like the ET shroud and what it represents compared to the long tail of making money in the present world. ET is is a place that could make a lot of money. ET income comes to mail boxes and through wire transfers. Not when the long tail approaches are in vogue.

for people who trade, likewise, there are many ways to make money. Methods abound. They all are available and all who wish can compare and contrast them. Right? Not quite, apparently. transparency has to be gleened.

Daily there are new ideas for improving trading with respect to the many many facets of trading. Yeah sure.

No that's not the way it is for many of you. I have permissions in a lot of places and in a lot of ways. I am playing the long tail game and it is the future for people in the financial industry and those who serve and lead it.

Some of you will get it; others will play games.

It is hard to imagine what a thread on rockets could be.........

i like the simple idea that a person can take the concept down the road and turn 5k into 200k in two years.

In the meantime there are a lot of people who got their money's worth for two years bullshitting themselves blind and have nothing but their bullshit words to show for it. that is the fact of how ET operates and what its owners get paid for supporting.

easy will have a nice time with skilled people on the 7th. A lot of other from here will be in Tucson doinga little palavering. and at ET there will be another day of bullshitting among B people.

  2. No, you have just fucked up yet once again.

What you think is correct on your part, isn't.

you think that a couple of days, weeks or months work on your part gets something done; it doesn't. It takes a lot of work to get something done.

  3. Once again to summarize:

The beginner rockets document will not produce profitable trading by just following its rules. Grob readily admits above. Maybe you add some channels, throw in a traverse, consider the fractal and maybe you will wind up with something. Or do as Easyrider did and invent a method for yourself. The beginner rockets document might as well say two sentences:

Trade with the trend and try to enter with momentum. Exit if it goes stale.

  4. Easyrider if you would care to post a few more charts with your trades marked, I will attempt to model your successful rockets approach in B team language.

    Thanks either way.

  6. Hypo, I think you missed my point on optimization. Optimization can be a good thing. By analyzing "the quality of degrees of freedom," let's say you have a systen that goes long when the close crosses above the 20 day moving average and exits 10 days later. You'd optimize the moving average period and number of days, and produce a profit surface where the x axis is moving average period, the y axis is # days until exit and the z axis is profit. You'd want to see if this surface is erratic or smooth, and if the parameters around the 20 period MA and 10 days show graduated profits, indicating robust parameters.

  7. Instead of your Grobian obfuscation and condescending BS, why don't you just take me up on my challenge to compete in a trading contest? Just you and me or you and me and some A & B Team members, here on ET?

  8. Trading contest, trading contest, you and me. Come on, Jack! Let's see what you're really made of!

  9. I think what you have is a credibility issue, CL. It is human nature that familiarity breeds contempt. You seem to think that you will get this in a day or three, and you do not respect what Jack is trying to teach, therefore you have a communication block mentally.

Maybe you should start with a more basic approach and just get some baseline reading done first. Get the book, How to Make Money in Stocks. After you have committed that to memory, learn the formula for stochastics so that you can understand what this indicator is supposed to do, and why. If you are more visual, download the camtasia videos from Spyder's site, this is Jack in person, and it is very clear and concise.

The transferrence will be easier if you can get a baseline of knowledge.

    Best Regards

  10. Yeah, c'mon Jack its way past time to put this to rest. Can you trade, or can't you? Is Chicken Little the only chicken here, or are you going to join him?
