Good point. Wells gave me free trades for years but I use them only for long term holdings because often I found their fills not as good and as fast as Schwab.
%% And with rates uP trending,s2007s; LOL,i guess you get your park your money there ''free'' also LOL. Actually ''free is a proven word to bring results ,generally speaking.Thought Robinhood had no minimum, but dont know. Good free comments LOL.
I had a Scottrade account for several years. Around the time it was announced they would be taken over by TD, I called around to see what promotions were available for switching to other brokerages. Schwab offered me commission-free equity trades (unlimited) for the duration of time I had a Scottrade account. I accepted. Haven't paid any commissions (for equity trades) in about 1.5 years and have about 5 more years to go (unless they decide to terminate the offer early). I don't know if they still do this, but the offer is listed online and available to former Scottrade (now TD) clients. https://www.schwab.com/public/schwab/nn/tradeoffer.html As a brokerage for equities/ETF trades, never had any complaints about fills or customer service at Schwab. Can't comment for futures, as I trade them through a different brokerage.
