  1. Wouldn't it be great to get more knowledge on it first so I can ask tougher and more pertinent questions. My schedule is tough as it is and if I can get some decent info over the weekend here then why not.

*boggles* You are their customer. Not the other way around. You pay THEM their salaries, because without you, they would not eat. The CME does have competition, you know.

You call them up on the phone Monday, and ask all the informed and uninformed questions you want. They will answer them to the best of their abilities. They are not God, so your presentation does not have to be "perfect". They work for YOU. Remember that.

  3. My account may be big relative to the average retail trader, but it is likely quite a bit below average compared to the average CME client or private brokerage account user.

Excuse this noob, but what exactly is the difference between a retail account and "private brokerage account"? You make it sound as if they're separate. For the record, I did actually googled it but couldn't find any meaningful difference.

  5. Congrats on your wins! It sounds like your strategy is working great. Make I ask what your strategy is for dealing with variance and larger drawdowns when they come (or have they already)? I'm assuming you are quite leveraged if you are trading this large.

  6. That is what I am asking. Noob to noob, I do not know. Institutions use them, people with high net worths do too. That's why I am wondering if they are worth it. I'm not exactly sure.

Be careful - the market conditions we have had are a real one-off, futures index scalping was never this easy/profitable unlike any time before - at least that's my impression.

Reminds me of 1999, day traders could throw a dart and make huge profits easily until conditions changed in 2000, many that had made >$M went bust. We all thought it was out talent, when it was mostly having great market conditions - Dunning-Kruger effect.

I recommend you ask those "institutions" and those people with "high net worth" to determine if they're worth it considering you're not exactly sure.

Other than that, you're not going to get anywhere here and should just be patient for Monday so that you can talk with the exchange that you wish to purchase a seat.

Anything more will just look like something else is going on (e.g. panic, trolling, hidden agenda) if you're continuing to question anonymous people here especially if you're not even talking to that cousin of yours.

Seriously, is that cousin busy tomorrow on Sunday ?

There you go, start a private message conversation with MattZ. He'll be happy to assist you and most likely can answer many of your questions that we've failed to answer for you.

Good luck and hopefully that seat will be worth it for you especially now that the volatility is reverting back to its mean.
