"1.The criminal justice system is racist against minorities." No it is not. The criminal justice system is prejudiced towards criminals. It wants to lock them up. "2.Once a person has done thier time they should have the right to vote." Once a felon has completed their time, they should never be allowed to vote again. They have lost that privilege.
This guy also did it , now he's very sorry. Judge Resigns On April Fools’ Day But The Joke’s On Him The Texas state constitution says that a judge’s announcement of candidacy for another office “shall constitute an automatic resignation of the office then held.” April 2 (Reuters) ― An April Fools’ Day resignation prank? One Texas civil court judge wishes it were so. A newly elected judge in Houston accidentally resigned on Monday, according to local media and a county official, after he shared plans online to run for the state supreme court, apparently unaware that the Texas constitution considers such an announcement an automatic resignation. The Harris County Civil Court judge, Bill McLeod, did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Tuesday. Local TV station KHOU 11 News on Monday reported that McLeod declined to comment on the move. Article 16, Section 65, of the state’s constitution says that a judge’s announcement of candidacy for another office “shall constitute an automatic resignation of the office then held.”

Just like the person who paid a $25million fine for running a fraudulent university is allowed to vote ?
If Trump is allowed to be president ex felons should be allowed to vote. Trump should be a felon for that university scam. His supporters would still support him while complaining about other felons voting.
Racists don't believe/admit that they are racist. They also don't believe/admit that racism exists against Minorities. Yet, they somehow have convinced themselves that Minorities speaking out against racism are themselves, racists. Ignorant, but not overtly racist Majorities believe similarly to more overt racists. The above is why the US has excessive racism problems, here in 2019. The following won't help the overtly nor closeted racists; but they may help the ignorant: https://www.huffpost.com/entry/fourteen-examples-of-raci_b_658947 Fourteen Examples of Racism in Criminal Justice System https://www.vera.org/newsroom/resea...of-black-americans-in-criminal-justice-system Research Confirms that Entrenched Racism Manifests in Disparate Treatment of Black Americans in Criminal Justice System https://www.innocenceproject.org/wa...ights-racial-bias-in-criminal-justice-system/ Washington Post Column Highlights Evidence of Racial Bias in the Criminal Justice System https://scholarship.law.umn.edu/cgi...r=1&article=1511&context=faculty_articles;The The Social, Psychological, and Political Causes of Racial Disparities in the American Criminal Justice System https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...iminal-justice-system/?utm_term=.2e634401b520 Researchers have discovered a new and surprising racial bias in the criminal justice system https://slate.com/news-and-politics...ustrating-how-its-stacked-against-blacks.html What It’s Like to Be Black in the Criminal Justice System: These eight charts suggest there are racial disparities at every phase of the justice system. https://courts.delaware.gov/supreme/docs/WareUnconsciousDiscrimination.pdf Unconscious Bias and the Criminal Justice System
We actually have racist laws in the US. I mean, laws that literally let you discriminate against someone based on the color of their skin and gender. It's called affirmative action. It basically lets you discriminate against white males. It's an overtly racist law. There are no racist laws against minorities, only white males. Do you support affirmative action? Because if you do, then you were correct...racists don't believe/admit they are racist.
Here is a quick definition of racism via Google: prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior. A remedy against unlawful, systemic, long-term discrimination is not racism. Just as incarceration is not equivalent to slavery, or kidnapping. Whether 40 acres and a mule, or affirmative action--both, btw, endorsed by the Majority "race"--I support any sort of proper 'correction' to the harms done to a particular race of people for hundreds of years. Harms affecting that race for generations. When a person is incarcerated, harm is done to that persons' loved ones; their children, etc. How is incarceration therefore justified? You tell me. Maybe society believes that the benefit of punishment and deterrence outweighs the collateral damage to innocents.? Yes, I agree with the White lawmakers that enacted affirmative action.
