Yup. The election with historically high voter turnout.

But you make a good point about Obama because the midterms showed he would lose some of the electoral college wins he had in 2008. It was good thing Obama had a significant electoral college victory because if had to keep all the states he won in 2008 he wouldn’t have had a second term.

    Again, excellent point.

Maybe, a more practical solution is to elect more conservatives in the mold of Ted Cruz, Devin Nunes, Kris Kobach. That is why I do not support the Republican Party anymore. All their candidates are extreme liberal RINOs promising to support conservative values? We do not need limp wristed extreme liberal RINOs in power. Useless slugs they are! All they do is oppose President Donald Trump's policies instead, of following it. They are the enemy including, all Democrats!

Wrong. Horowitz is conducting an internal investigation.

  4. Got it.

And Andy is still there, and Horowitz had no role in providing input to his performance, just before he was fired and referred for criminal investigation.

Just like this time current round. Nothing to see there. Horowitz is just doing a community survey to see how people enjoy working at the department.

First of all, McCabe was fires one day before his retirement for political reasons and second he was terminated for leaking information about the Clinton investigation, which has nothing to do with any of the nonsense you’re talking about.

  7. Not to forget that the independent IG's recommendation to fire McCabe or take action anyway went through and was approved by the department's internal personnel review committee/whatever they are called. The head of that committee in fact reported directly to McCabe - so it was hardly a hit job from a poltical opponent. The head of the personnel committee then made a direct recommendation to Jeff Sessions.

Whatever. If McCabe's happy with the outcome, that's fine. I know I am and..............

    MORE TO COME

I’m not sure the IG recommendation included termination. I do know the IG uncharacteristically released portions of an investigation about an “improper media disclosure” from a larger investigation they were conducting related to Hillary Clinton, which raised a lot of questions about why they would make that release out of context.

Usually, the IG tries to release the reports whole to understand the “totality of circumstance” regardless of impending retirement or other personnel transactions. Maybe more to come here, idk.

What I will say is, yes the FBI gave Clinton a raw deal. McCabe playing in the media to ramp down political pressure from republicans and Comey passing judgement with no charges are bad form. I actually think they were trying to set the table as the tough guys with congressional support for a Clinton presidency and got burned when trump won.

Now they have to deal with a maniac with millions of morons as followers. Kind of serves them right but is fucked for the country on whole.

But as far as more to come, it is not what you think is coming. Maybe some transactional stuff but a coup no. You’re in fantasy land there.

  9. I said "to fire McCabe or take action anyway."

Horowitz referred him to the personnel review committee with sufficient facts to result in his firing -which they did- and he also referred McCabe for criminal referral with supporting facts and more to be developed knowing that that could also result in penalties that would not necessarily be meted out by Horowitz himself but he knew what he was setting in motion.

  10. Every poll shows immigration is the most important issue to republican voters. So of course, they focus on tax cuts and plan to run the campaign on some lame capitalism versus socialism theme.

Trump won because of one issue, immigration. That shows just how powerful an issue it is.

Immigration, particularly illegal immigration, is analogous to the slavery issue leading up to the Civil War. Back then, the Southern plantation owners were desperate for cheap labor and willing to ignore the external costs their solution imposed on the nation. Sound familiar?
