None of us have all the information the FBI has, but I would suspect that it only seems to you that the crimes -- money laundering, lying to the FBI etc, -- have nothing to do with Russian infiltration of U.S. Social Media in an attempt to influence the election. For example lets say there is only a 5% chance that each indictee's contacts with Russian operatives had anything to do with Russian involvement in the U.S. election. Then the total probability that all the indictees so far had nothing to do with Russian attempts to influence the election is 0.000007, or seven ten-thousands of a percent! Frankly, it is looking rather grime for the Trump "team" and for Trump himself. And this is while there is still relatively little public knowledge of Trumps financial deals! Trump will soon realize that his only option is to Fire Mueller! And it's a terrible option!!! If he is going to, he'd better do it soon before the Fall 2018 election; an election which may change the composition of the House. The House Judiciary is trying to influence Trumps base so that there will be a public outcry in support of Mueller being fired. Articles of Impeachment would normally originate in the House Judiciary Committee. Right now, that Committee is friendly toward Trump. The entire House, as it is now made up, is not likely to override a Judiciary Committee Finding. After the first Tuesday, after the first Monday in November 2018, however, who knows! Even Gerrymandered House Districts may not put up with Trump. Storm clouds are gathering over the Oval Office. The American Public will soon get to see how a clinically, narcissistic person reacts to extreme pressure that threatens their image of themselves as "a very smart person" and an expert at doing "deals". By normal standards Trump is a fraud and a deceitful business man. Because of the complexity of his business dealings and who he has been dealing with, there is a significant probability that he has been involved in criminal activity that has not yet to come to light. Nevertheless it is uncertain, because of his severe narcissism, whether he is aware that he has done anything wrong. It will be interesting to see how he reacts to the unbelievable pressures about to come crashing down on him. Certainly psychiatrists everywhere must be watching and observing with rapt attention. What happens when an extreme narcissist suffers a terrible ignominious end? Stay tuned. We are about to find out.
Correct, any folks charged including Flynn will have great grounds to be exonerated based on the bias and technique of this "team"
l don't really care about Trump at this stage. I am just telling you that ... this info about Ohr and his wife and the Strozk email about the " insurance policy" has opened up so many discovery doors for the defense. for instance... any evidence discovered as a result of a warrant based on that dossier is already a very solid issue for Trump and his team on appeal. The fruit of the poisonous tree doctrine applies in general to warrants obtained via false information. (I am talking in general. There may be exceptions... but that is what will be litigated for years.) as far as getting a unanimous verdict... how is the prosecution going to get around and argument from a defense attorney that some or all this evidence is " trumped up" by fbi and doj partisans... the very people who were willing to break to work with foreign spies govt to pay for manufactured evidence. How can you members of the jury be sure President Trump is guilty beyond any doubt when the investigators and prosecutors have stated they can't allow him to be president. If you think there is a chance they manufactured evidence you must find him innocent. The judge is going to read an instruction. if you find any witness to have lied... he is going to read you this instruction... Falsus in uno, falsus in omnibus is a Latin phrase meaning "false in one thing, false in everything." https://legaldictionary.net/exclusionary-rule/ Fourth Amendment Rights The Fourth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution protects citizens “against unreasonable searches and seizures.” It further states that no warrants shall be issued without probable cause, which means that the privacy of citizens may not be violated without compelling reasons to do so. Fruit of the Poisonous Tree The legal doctrine known as “fruit of the poisonous tree” states that evidence derived from an illegal search, seizure, arrest, or interrogation is not admissible in a court of law because the evidence was tainted by fact that the method used to obtain the evidence was illegal. For example, police put a wiretap on a suspected drug dealer’s phone and began listening to and recording conversations without first obtaining a warrant. The suspect reveals that he has drugs stashed away under a dumpster where the buyer could pick them up. The police find the dumpster and seize the drugs before the buyer arrives. The illegally recorded phone calls would not be admissible (the poisonous tree), nor would the drugs found as a result of the illegal wiretap (the fruit).
Whats great to see here is how the lads are hoping for a technical loss. They could give a damn about actual corruption as long as their 'team' wins. The end always justifies the means with them. Being dishonest people, they never think others can be better than they are.
He agreed to cooperate to save his son. He is old enough not to care about himself or hope for a pardon, but his son could get fucked hard. Now I will explain politics for you guys: Trump is obviously guilty of treason, but that is beside the point. Let's also mention that impeachment is a political process, not a legal one. A president can be impeached for a bad combover, if Congress wants to. But they know that this is probably the last time they have a majority in everything. The real question is: Do we want this ineffective moron out of the office or not? As long as he keeps the other side up in arms and ready to vote, he is actually bad for Republicans. Come November and there will be a Dem sweep. Pence would be actually effective, but a Trump base could look at an impeachment as treason and abandon the right. Bottomline: For the Dems, a distracted and ineffective Trump in place is better than an effective Pence. The Reps have no real good choice, except maybe hoping for a heart attack.
Ordinarily I'd agree and I'd say let the lame duck be a lame duck, but the reality is the guy is making lifetime appointments (judicial) and passing regulation that would be difficult to rescind or recall, and in the mean time some people get shafted for it. I'm thankful the guy is an idiot and it's not making fast enough sweeps to shield him from the judicial and the press, hard as he's tried.
But Pence would do the same, so no advantage over Trump for the opposing side. The best thing for the Reps would be either a heart attack or Trump finally getting bored with this "presidency gig" and resign, but that not likely to happen. For those who think Pence would be better, the fucker single handedly caused an AIDS epidemic in Indiana. I take an atheist Trump over a religious Pence any day...
Care to bet real money that I can find numerous examples of this from the very same left posters currently posting on this forum in regards to Hillary and Obama? I mean, you're a fair guy, right?
Maybe Trump will use the FBI as an insurance policy to see that he gets re-elected. I mean, that's what they are there for, right? To protect the regime that's in power and snuff out the opposition.
