Here's a funny little bit o' stuff I have noticed... During the last few months, average volume on ES was, oh, 1-to-1.5 million lots. On those days, the market ended higher. On days passing a certain threshold, say 2 mil lots, the market ended down. And certainly, during the past 7 trading days, the ES volume has been 2 mil+ And every day was a down day. Something to chew on. If you look at your volume numbers at 8AM ET tomorrow, and you see volume at 800K to 1 million? You will prolly see a day closing in the red.
Day traders caution since likely lots of circuit breaker halts on various stocks will occur randomly intraday next week Hope my TVIX doesn't do a XIV and implode on extreme volatility
on THE HOURLY so far attempts at up moves have failed recently market has tried to go down 5 times and failed. so market will go up, until it starts to fail to go up possible magnets and targets :3095 3183..STOP below 2852. I would not take this trade myself because I prefer to see at least 3 attempts at highs or lows before I think about entering. but just to illustrate a way of thinking
most times, the market tries to sense which way the wind is blowing before deciding. this is the dangerous time for trading except if you are a hard core scalper with nerves of steel. high volume only means more transactions are happening ……..the market only moves in a direction to facilitate transactions. if more transactions are happening market will not search anymore and will settle down. expect the market to get range bound
5 mil e's Friday and that sure as hell was not ma and pa creating that green volume candle in the last 30 minutes Amateurs open a market Pros close it
Yep. Just as I thought. Weak markets always mean the fed will bow down Zero rates coming. Yes and then negative rates just as I predicted for about 3 years. Its finally coming to wallstreet Unthinkable a few weeks ago, Wall Street sees a chance of rates falling as low as zero this year PUBLISHED MON, MAR 2 20208:26 AM ESTUPDATED AN HOUR AGO https://www.cnbc.com/2020/03/02/wal...interest-rates-falling-to-zero-by-summer.html
