  1. It's amazing what the ability to read off of a teleprompter can do for right-wing Republicans on ET. We're talking about reading a speech off of a freaking TELEPROMPTER people!!!
And yet people think that she is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

    Simply amazing.
And people wonder how George Bush not only got elected once, but TWICE!!!

    :D

  3. Brilliant logic.
I see that the "dumbing-down" of America is still alive and well.

Sarah Palin is a self righteous, conniving, power hungry, control freak, who has tried to take away the basic rights of all Americans, and would try to do so if given more power.

1)Her husband was a member of the Alaskan Independent for over 10 years. That political parties main agenda is to support a vote to secede from the USA. Sarah Palin attended and gave speeches to the annual meetings of the party, and has been an active supporter of the party. How American is it to be married to someone who is an active member of a political party that is trying to get one of our states to secede from the country?

    2) One of the first things that Mayor Palin did, was to first suggest that the local librarian banish all books that Mayor Palin did not like from the local library. When the woman did not comply, Palin fired her. The librarian was immmediately reinstated when informed that Palin would be prosecuted for violating the first Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America. This is one of the reasons that Sarah Palin does not like the USA. She believes that Alaska should not be a part of the USA!

    3) In a case that is being investigated as we speak by the state of Alaska, Palin and her staff put unusual pressure on a state employee to fire her brother in law for personal reasons. After at least two DOZEN attempts failed to get her brother in law fired, Sarah Palin fired the man in charge of her brother in law, and replaced him with someone who would fire her brother in law. This gross abuse of power is what Sarah Palin is all about.

    4) Sarah Palin hired a lobbyist to get numerous "earmarks" for her hometown of Wasilla. Yet now she says that she is against earmarks. Sarah Palin is a major hypocrite!

    5) Sarah Palin applauded her daughters "decision" to keep her baby. Yet Palin says that all abortions, including pregnancies from rape, should be illegal. Palin is a major hypocrite in saying that her daughter made a decision but w is in favor of taking that same decision away from all others.

    6) Sarah Palin has stated publicly and recently that she does not believe that global warming is caused by humans. Even the Bush administration now agrees based on the huge amount of scientific evidence that humans activity is to blame. Sarah Palin has stated in church that "it is God's will that a new pipeline be constructed" Does Palin speak with God?

    7) Palin is a narrow minded religious freak!

  4. Iraq war, Gas Line God's Will, Palin said

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin told ministry students at her former church that the United States sent troops to fight in the Iraq war on a "task that is from God."

In an address last June, the Republican vice presidential candidate also urged ministry students to pray for a plan to build a $30 billion natural gas pipeline in the state, calling it "God's will."

Palin asked the students to pray for the troops in Iraq and noted that her eldest son, Track, was expected to be deployed there.

"Our national leaders are sending them out on a task that is from God," she said. "That's what we have to make sure that we're praying for, that there is a plan and that plan is God's plan."

A video of the speech was posted at the Wasilla Assembly of God's Web site before finding its way on to other sites on the Internet.

Palin told graduating students of the church's School of Ministry, "What I need to do is strike a deal with you guys." As they preached the love of Jesus throughout Alaska, she said, she'd work to implement God's will from the governor's office, including creating jobs by building a pipeline to bring North Slope natural gas to North American markets.

"God's will has to be done in unifying people and companies to get that gas line built, so pray for that," she said.

"I can do my job there in developing our natural resources and doing things like getting the roads paved and making sure our troopers have their cop cars and their uniforms and their guns, and making sure our public schools are funded," she added. "But really all of that stuff doesn't do any good if the people of Alaska's heart isn't right with God."

Palin attended the evangelical church from the time she was a teenager until 2002, the church said in a statement posted on its Web site. She has continued to attend special conferences and meetings there. Religious conservatives have welcomed her selection as John McCain's running mate.

Rob Boston, a spokesman for Americans United for Separation of Church and State, lamented Palin's comments.

"I miss the days when pastors delivered sermons and politicians delivered political speeches," he said. "The United States is increasingly diverse religiously. The job of a president is to unify all those different people and bring them together around policy goals, not to act as a kind of national pastor and bring people to God."

The section of the church's Web site where videos of past sermons were posted was shut down Wednesday, and a message was posted saying that the site "was never intended to handle the traffic it has received in the last few days."

Palin: "Our family has the same ups and downs as any other, the same challenges and the same joys." - A subliminal message I reckon. As a new mother, I would like to see her extend the invitation to support all mothers, not just those with special needs children. I

  8. The new America.

    1. Praying for our troops and for prosperity = bad.

    2. Finding Christ through Rev. Wright and blaming America for everything from AIDS to poverty = good.

  9. You shouldn't put words in my mouth.

Praying that a gas pipeline, formally, gets installed in Alaska seems a little abusive of G_d to me.

Hey G_d, buy me a shiny new BMW M3.
