I wasn’t speaking in jest. Yes, the Bernie types a bunch of wussies who believe in things they don’t understand, similar to Trump types. They are what they are. If they don’t like the nominee then they can go start a hippie commune in Portland for all I care. Bending to people with bad ideas is not the way to live life.
They are the majority. The DNC platform bends to their demands or they automatically lose the election. Either way it's not looking good for your side. Moderate's will shun today's DNC.
What demands are speaking of? If we are talking about universal healthcare, then that’s not a dnc splitting issue. That’s a core democrat principle. In my mind the Bernie people are more of the “revenge” wing of the party. They think by taxing the wealthy, which we need to do, it will fix all of their problems. It won’t. As far as not looking good for my side, history says a first term president is very likely to get a second term. There is that and the country is moving forward economically right now, but you can’t deny there is an unsteadiness and uncertainty with Trump. He is chaotic and anything can happen. If the democrats can produce a steady candidate able to prosecute all of the corruption of the Trump administration then there is a fighting chance. Putting Bernie or Warren against Trump makes me, a regular and steady voter doubt they can make the global and national situation less chaotic. Like Trump they are good at making big, unrealistic promises I highly doubt they can keep.
Hillary Clinton owns the Democrat Party for sometime now! I am sure she is running again in 2020 against President Trump and the DNC will make sure again that she wins! They already in effect outlawed the socialists! If they have to run as Democrats, they have to vow loyalty to the Democrat Party. Do you think the establishment liberals will allow the progressive, extreme liberals to rule the Democrat Party? No way in hell! They will run progressives in the primaries but, lose out in the end! Nothing has changed after all!
You wonder why Hillary is still in the running for democrats. You wonder if hillary is the their best shot to be Trump. You then conclude... yeah. you then wonder what hell is wrong with democrats. Then you realize its a rhetorical question. Then you wonder... why a party which relies on hate of trump and race dividing is so well financed. Then you realize... wow we are so screwed. Then you remember why so many voted for Trump.
The biggest catfight in the dem party will come early, very early and has already started. It is about the "superdelegates" so-called. Every candidate- especially hillary - knows that the with the superdelegates the system is completely rigged (or "wigged" as Bernie says) from the get-go. The "progressives" know that they are flucked right out of the gate again- before voting even begins- if that system is in place next time around. And that has to be addressed right off and is and it is going to bloody, where the dnc will bargain for some compromise but the ones who are serious about winning will be deadly serious about seeing it removed. Gillibrand and Pocohontas for example will want to see it remain because they are likely to be dnc duds who benefit from it. Gonna be bloody, and that's a beautiful thing.
Than you remember trump has lost a lot of support and will likey get fewer votes next time. Not good for a guy who only won the ec by 80000 votes
