    you said... to AAA

"You do understand, don't you, that Trump is one of five minority Presidents in the Nation's history"

I looked it up... you were wrong. There have been 19 elections where the winner won without gaining a majority of the votes. (since they started recorded elections in the 1800s.) its very common.

Giving us the definition for the word majority in a parliamentary system was a misdirection.

you were wrong... just admit it and move on.

I would wager that the millions who didn't vote, don't support Trump nor care about his message. He was the rabble rouser who got people off the couch. If you stayed on the couch, it meant you didn't care for him and probably leaned towards the default: Hillary.

I agree... (some were also for him and some were anti hillary and some were anti politician and millions don't care anymore or never did)
and that thought was the main reason I argued with Piezoe. I don't really care about the definition of majority here vs a parliamentary system.

My point is that a president has to rally millions of people into his corner that did not vote for him anyway. That a few million people did not vote for Trump in CA vs Hillary is irrelevant.

When you realize millions of americans don't vote at all...
    All presidents are minority presidents.
They become powerful the way Reagan became powerful when the push good ideas past the opposition... which is the establishment dems and republicans.

oh, here they are sweetheart. I found them for you. There are five:
    from Wiki.
    Comparative table of elections
    Democratic-Republican · DR Democratic · D Republican · R
    Election
Winner and party Electoral College Popular vote[a] Runner-up and party Turnout[a]
    Votes
    % Votes Margin % Margin %
    1824 John Quincy Adams
    DR 84/261 32.18% 113,122 −38,149 30.92% −10.44% Andrew Jackson
    DR 26.90%
    1876 Rutherford B. Hayes
    R 185/369 50.14% 4,034,311 −254,235 47.92% −3.02% Samuel J. Tilden
    D 81.80%
    1888 Benjamin Harrison
    R 233/401 58.10% 5,443,892 −90,596 47.80% −0.79% Grover Cleveland
    D 79.30%
    2000[17] George W. Bush
    R 271/538 50.37% 50,456,002 −543,895 47.87% −0.51% Al Gore
    D 51.20%
    2016[31] Donald Trump
    R 304/538 56.50% 62,984,825 −2,868,691 46.09% −2.10% Hillary Clinton
    D 55.30%

These are all the people who became President even though someone else got more votes. Don't you just love the electoral college in the "world's greatest democracy"

    1. As I told you... from wikipedia...

Since then, 19 presidential elections have occurred in which a candidate was elected or reelected without gaining a majority of the popular vote.[1]

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States'_presidential_plurality_victories

so 19 times the candidate won without a majority.

2... Why don't you just admit you should have said Trump was one of five who received less than a plurality instead of mistakenly saying minority. I realize it would have made your argument much weaker... but using the correct word does matter.

    from wikipedia...

"The following is a list and description of those elections in which a candidate won the election with a plurality of the popular vote. The elections of 1824, 1876, 1888, 2000, and 2016 are not on this list because in those elections the winning candidate actually received less than a plurality.[2]"

now you are lying or remaining purposefully ignorant...

look at your list and look at this list. Its the exact same 5 elections..
you should have said "the winning candidate actually received less than a plurality."
