If the policy goal is removing a radical Islamic terrorist then, that has been partly achieved and a stunning success. All that is left to finish off Iran is to attack and incinerate its oil facilities. That should finish them off and any nuclear threats. While, we are at it, why not bomb their hidden nuclear labs producing plutonium as well? US can and should neutralize Iran the soonest if it attacks US forces or Americans anywhere. Show the terrorists everywhere what is in store for them if they attack the US troops and Americans.
I just call them like I see them. Right now we are in a holding pattern waiting for Iran’s response. While this is going on the Iraqi government voted to expel our forces and we sent a “mistake” letter accepting our removal. While we are bunkered down while Iran is moving above ground to get us expelled from Iraq, after we removed Saddam Hussein for them. In my opinion, we should not be waiting for a response. If we are going to do it then we should just do it. This protracted back and forth does not benefit us. It gives them more time to make the political moves to get us out of Iraq completely. At the same time it is so important to remember it’s Trump leading this shit show, which we did not need to be in as Iran had verifiably stopped its nuclear program. Pompeo knows where this is going, hence his informing McConnell he will not be running for senate.
So this is where you get played for a sucker by right wing news. Iran was in full compliance with their international obligations to stop their nuclear program when Trump pulled us out and implemented his maximum flaccid program. Which brings us to where we are today. Instead of during up Iraq we are on the verge of handing it over to Iran who is moving back into a full nuclear program. We are in a worse position than square one was. There’s no way to spin this. Pompeo and Trump totally shit the bed when it comes to Iran.
I don't believe that Trump ever ran on or promoted the idea that he would fix broken nation-building in either Iraq or Afghanistan but that Iran would be required to maintain or begin good behavior toward the United States and Israel. And here we are.
So Iran continues bad behavior, we hand them Iraq and they restart their nuclear program is a species of success?
You are getting repetitive now. Never good. No one here other than the tard obama bootlickers has ever thought for one second that Iran stopped development on their nuclear program- so there is zero concern to worry about it re-starting. And if talking up their nuke program by threatening to attack the U.S with it continues, well then, they are not going to have a nuke program. As I said, Trump will not allow bad behavior from them. And the Iran already owns and runs Iraq so ditto in regard to that. How the frig can you "hand them Iraq" when their own puppets run it. Iraq is responsible for being a sovereign government and they seem to choosing to hand themselves over to Iran. If you argue that they are not sovereign, that they are just puppets of Iran- well then, that makes my point. Thank you.
Sorry but it’s not so cut and dry. We are certainly policing in Iraq and a counterforce to Iran there. Out removal allows Iran to move unfettered. The way you thought is wrong because the information you consume is biased. I know it’s like a plot twist in a movie but you’re actually the one consuming fake news. But the trump administration finds itself in this position often. Not too long ago the State Department was demanding Iran CONTINUE to stay in compliance with its nuclear agreement after Trump pulled us out on false pretenses. https://www.pbs.org/newshour/world/...still-comply-with-nuke-deal-that-trump-exited
That's actually 1st grade politics: I don't want Donald to play with my blocks; Donald won't stop playing with my blocks. Donald, why did you hit Bobby, that's not nice. Bobby knocked my blocks down. Those are Bobby's blocks. Your blocks are over there. I don't want those blocks, I want these blocks. Bobby won't play fair. I hate Bobby. (tweet - tweet - tweet - tweet....)
