  1. Weather: Coldest March 'For 50 Years' Forecasters Say (PICTURES)
    The Huffington Post | Posted: 22/03/2013 14:20 GMT | Updated: 22/03/2013 14:20 GMT

Forecasters warned Britain could face the coldest March for 50 years as harsh weather conditions caused flooding in the South West, a landslide in Cornwall and snow over much of the UK.

Schools were shut and transport was disrupted as any hopes of spring were dashed by yet another bitter onslaught prompting a string of warnings from government agencies.

John Lee, forecaster with MeteoGroup, the weather division of the Press Association, said it could be the coldest March in 50 years.

"Comparing it to similar winters, it's provisionally going to be the coldest March in 50 years, although that can't be confirmed until we reach the end of the month," Mr Lee said.

Meanwhile, Britain could face gas rationing for the first time because reserves are dwindling fast while people keep the heating on during the cold snap.

Analysts said the authorities could be forced to restrict supplies if temperatures remain low for another a fortnight.

  2. Actually, man-made climate change may indeed have something to do with it.

  3. How about a mini Ice Age.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There is no global warming or, as it is more frequently called these days, climate change unless you include a colder earth in that change.
    The Mini-Ice Age has Arrived

    - Alan Caruba Monday, March 18, 2013

One of the world’s most respected long-term climate forecasters is Piers Corbyn,Recently Corbyn announced that “The CO2 story is over. It has been pointing the world in the wrong direction for too long. The serious implications of the developing mini ice age to agriculture and the world economy through the next 25 to 35 years must be addressed.” World cooling is now locked in says Corbyn, citing the decrease in average solar activity and a jet stream that is often further south than normal, resulting in extreme weather events.

The President of the United States, according to a recent Business Week article, “is preparing to tell all federal agencies for the first time that they should consider the impact on global warming before approving projects, from pipelines to highways.” The result “could be significant delays for natural gas export facilities, ports for coal sales to Asia, and even new forest roads, industry lobbyists say.”

“In taking the step,” said Business Week reporter Mark Drajem, “Obama would be fulfilling a vow to act alone in the face of a Republican-run House of Representatives unwilling to pass measures limiting greenhouse gases.”

The President, as usual, is lying through his teeth. There is no global warming or, as it is more frequently called these days, climate change unless you include a colder earth in that change.

The result will be four years of a second term in office during which Obama and his minions will do everything they can to slow what little is left of the U.S. economy, currently growing at a rate that requires a microscope to detect.

For the rest of us, the Mini Ice Age has arrived.

No doubt all the European glaciers will advance to their former positions, thanks to this March.

Heads I win, tails, you lose.

I got to give it to them, the sheer audacity of claiming you are right, no matter what the outcome is something that is usually lost at the childhood stage, so for people like futures currents to make those claims as an adult, it takes a little tenacity, combined with a heavy dose of complete lack of awareness regarding his own surroundings.

  9. Yes and all the Artic ice will reform.

It truly boggles the mind when the GW denier morons try to use one cold month in one spot, or one colder year or a big snowfall in Oshkosh as proof that GW is not occurring. It just helps prove they deserve the "moron denier" label. I mean, really. How do they trade? Do they look at one bar on the five minute chart and think they are going to rich because it's an up bar?

We heard it here first, folks!!
