Hi yc47ib, It's fair comment. I'm adjusting as I go, and whereas I started with 1 contract, I've been trying a money management approach that spreads my risk across a series of trades the algo takes, where size increases over the range, with an aim of either a 1.2% gain or a -2% loss at the end of the series. Not a vanilla approach I grant you, but testing is looking positive along with these posted results. I'm obviously lacking in posting my entire thought process in these daily posts; I'll try and provide more detail in future. The last week my aim has been to capitalise on the algo % rate tied to the new MM approach and to move back into positive territory. I'm also interspersing manual trades on the 1m chart where I see opportunities, but keeping aligned with the same MM approach so the algo and the manual trades are working in concert.

Hi all, yes, I am still here. This last couple of weeks I have been completely occupied with my day job - I did point out I am very much a 'hobby trader' so where time is scarce, and there's money to be made to pay the bills, that has to come first in the current climate. As we left off last, I was sitting on a 5.6% return for the few weeks the adventure had been running, which was pretty decent in my book. I'll pick up this thread again as soon as time allows. Thanks for your continued interest.
I, among many, am looking forward to your continued posts, I am voicing out this as an encouragement. Best wishes to your day job and hobby.
sound..at least you have your priorities right..if you can answer my questions when you have time..i want to see what way you are auto executing trades..i am not out to copy what anyone is doing as i have my own way of trading..but would like to see the way the auto executes are set up..how complicated they are..what type of parameters are required as inputs..and what determines the outputs..if you take the time to do this then i will be able to give you some feedback..maybe not in public..but let's see how it goes.. nothing ventured..nothing gained !
Thanks for sharing the information. I have always been interested in knowing how reversion to mean algorithms work.
